Hi Nessy! This is such a pretty, nostaglic game with a very nice aesthetic! I really like the art style and love the opening cutscene. Flah is so adorable out there saving the world with hugs xD I just love games that put a unique spin on the usual battle system!
I feel your pain about the missing image bug -- I have something like that happening in my game because one of my images didn't encrypt like the others did. But what I played of Waning Forest was great! Looking forward to playing the updated version!
Sorry to hear about the bug -- even from the amount we're able to play, it's obvious how much care and attention went into this. I love the art and I hope this doesn't discourage you from participating in the future!
I loved the art!! The centaur was so cute! Keep up making great designs like this!! Even though the story is unfinished, I'm very intrigued by it and interested to see more. <3

There are several things I liked: the drawings, the fact that the protagonist (Flah) is a centaur, the interaction during "battles"... well done! I read the project page and I'm sorry for the bug during the playthrough... the game is really nice, some UI elements be improved but I think this game can be a solid basis for something interesting.

I liked the game and his style! The only thing I ask you is to make the world map and the “fighting” less bright, it’s hard to read and see. For the rest, I wish you all the best!

There's quite a bit of emotional impact delivered with the tough 1 hour time limit, very definitely worth checking out if you can figure out how to bypass the bug!

I was having a lot of fun with this, using the dialogue system in lieu of a combat system is really cute. Having a dedicated hug system is very, very cute.
Unfortunately, after a certain point, the game kept crashing with an error about CoolSpringWater.png having trouble loading. I tried three more times with various different workarounds, but unfortunately there didn't seem to be anything.
Please let me know if there's a way to work around this, I'd like to try this again!
I managed to get past the bug by finding a random png file, renamed it to CoolSpringWater.png, and went to this tool: https://petschko.org/tools/mv_decrypter/#en-decrypt
I extract the encryption key, then encrypt my png file to replace the missing file

I've fixed the bug, was a picture that wasn't considered during build, because it was only used by a plugin, completely my fault<3
