Hi.  This is MinisterJay from the past.  I learned this from the last IGMC jam.  Flashing images may cause seizures.  I unfortunately had a judge that got seizures playing my game about wisps.

Thank you for the PSA. Honestly, I appreciate it as someone who also gets hideous migraines (though thankfully not seizures!) from flashing images. :')

Thanks for the heads up.

I have some minor screen flashing in one of my games but have put up a warning screen about it on game start up.

Hope it doesn't wreck my chances :O

I think that the judge that I had last time around is not judging this time, unless he did a name change.  Mine had a lot of flashing, and some of it was quick.  They warning screen is an awesome idea.

Thank you for informing

This is a good recommendation. I just thought I'd add a couple links on the topic I've recently been looking at,  since I've been thinking about this for the game I'm working on too:

As a note, you can look at my game/stream of my game to see how I work around the issue of flashing effects.

(Spoiler alert: I make a toggle that the players can access, which allows for players to disable flashing effects).
