It looks like I forgot to save my comments, so I'm going off of memory a little bit here. I did run through it again, but I might be missing some of my initial impressions...
I was able to beat the game, and thought the idea was interesting.

- The battles feel a little frustrating, because the AI just wanders around and spams attacks and the controls are a little odd. Really, the final battle is the only one that really frustrated me, since the fire whip destroys the leaf projectiles, but I do wonder if the battle system would feel stale pretty quickly.  I think a more active AI and precise battle system (at least mouse aiming) could be beneficial in the long run.
- I thought it was weird having to use the mouse in the level up menus, when the rest of the game is Keyboard only.
- The last fight highlighted that, in my opinion the MP/HP bars are way too big, they take up a huge portion of the screen, and it makes the battle feel unnecessarily constrained.
- After the mushroom battle the player character spawns back at the beginning of the map, meaning we have to walk back to where the mushroom was to pickup the axe, I think it would feel more natural to spawn where the mushroom was.

Seems like you have a pretty interesting foundation here, with quite a bit of promise!

Thank you ClassyKraken for playing my game, I am glad you enjoyed my game  and giving me feedback.

Fire Whip Vs Leaf Attack

  • That's because theirs elemental effects in my game like fire burns grass so the fire would burn thru the grass attack I have yet to fully scale it yet but thier going be more elemental effects
  • Elemental Effects(for future updates)
    • Fire Burns Thru Grass
    • Water Beats Fire
    • Elec Beats Water
    • Etc their going to be more for future updates

AI and precise battle system

  • I think if add the left click for aiming would make the game too easy cause you would have just have aim and shoot  the whole point of my game is position yourself into the direction then shoot or attack
  • Set up attack combos with elementals to make the game cooler(still a work in progress future updates)
  • Enemy Moving and just spamming attacks I'm still working on the ai for the enemies but I'm probably create something that indicates that the enemy is attacking like explanation point on the head or something still a work progress
  • I'm still trying to figure out a way for the character you don't control to move on its own so it doesnt just stand there doing nothing when not in controlled (still trying to figure that one out)

After the mushroom battle the player character spawns back at the beginning of the map

  • Im working on figuring that out I think I just need create an object after you fight the mushroom and then your player spawns there im working on that on the next big update

I heard the mushroom fight was hard and when I got to it, I noticed the slime was able to regenerate MP by standing near the blue spot. I spammed that fireball and kept near the blue pool to put that mushroom down. I like this, Good luck fixing the error you had with the disappearing objects.

Thanks for feedback you must read my devlog with the on the lastest update issues. There is a trick to the mushroom fight if you burn all the grass tiles the mushroom wont be able to regenerate hp. The mushroom can only regenerate hp when touching grass tiles. The slime has enough mana to throw fireballs to kill the mushroom. The best way to regen your mana is creating a slime puddle on a rock the collide can be stay on top of it

Keep running to a rock while the slime puddle is being created to regen your mana. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

I like the gameplay idea, but I got stuck on the Mushroom fight as the fight lagged for some reason, and the cooldown of the water(?) attack was too slow for mana regen, as the enemy recovered HP too fast.

I like how the battle is organized. But there was a huge problem with the redcap mushroom. It was healing itself very fast. After I hit it with a fireball, in a second or two, it was back at max HP again. I just can’t defeat it, and the slime goo on the ground didn’t seem to hurt it at all.

Wandering Peak Thank your feedback try using the fireball the slime the slime unlocks try pressing the c button then the slime creates a fireball attack the fireball does double damage and if the mushroom is on grass it does even more damage. The slime goo can also regen your mana when you collide with it. Your more then welcome to try again if you like and thank you for playing my game and other feedback would greatly appreciated

The battle vs Golem always restarts when mana pool is spawned.

Developer

I forgot to remove the restart code for that level I'm going to try to remove when I get a chance thanks for the feedback
