This is an interesting vibe.
Mix wise, to get that cinematic sound, you'll want to mix things more in space, both near and far. It sounds copressed in space. Close things have more delay and are drier on the reverb, far things have less delay and are wetter.
Also, the dynamics are still pretty midi - one thing I do is I overlap attack and release, and set the attack and release to longer on my sustained midi instruments like strings, vocals, and horns. Also, compression makes more complex mixes softer.
Great work though, I can hear what you are after and I can just imagine how epic it would sound with a nice cinematic mix.
Fancy chord choices! I enjoyed the sequence between :37-:45.
Okay... you officially have the most atmospheric cover art of this jam!
Overall - I like the slightly tragic mood of the track..... It's as if-I'm being plunged into some story that's long over....
...and that story ended tragically.....
Good job!

Aww, thanks so much! You're cover art is cool too! Yeah, If I got the mood right, then that's a win for me for now. Thanks so much for listening!
I agree with UnknownRori—some of the starts and ends feel abrupt. Fading the volume in and out could help if adjusting the attack and release isn’t enough.
I know LABS doesn’t offer many solo instrument options, but adding some could really elevate the track.
Overall, the vibe is great, and the idea is solid!
Yeah, you guys are absolutely right - I knew something was off, but tbh I'm not too used to working in a DAW (I come from the world of notation), but this is really helpful advice. Some solo instrumentation would add a nice touch as well. Thanks for listening!
Cool stuff, really fit the thing you are trying to do. maybe the strings can do little development like something in orchestra instead blasting full volume and then just gone, give them something like attack and release probably give more smoother strings, but that just for me. anyway it will even better if you provided SoundCloud or other streaming services.
Thanks for listening! I really appreciate the feedback as well, these are some really good suggestions for the future.
