very nice! Reminded me of waiting in a COD lobby. Very mysterious

Great track! The guitars fit in very naturally and kind of gave me the vibe of a city on the fringes of a wasteland, but with the hope of building new life due to the sounds of water. It's an interesting take on the theme that made it an enjoyable listen.

The vibe you set specially with the guitars and piano are so good! Great job!

Cool track, I like the guitar and bass, nice atmosphere with the sound design. Like Alex told couple of MIDI sound like instruments especially the orchestral ones, winds, brass and strings. The piano at the end is also a bit percussive and got some peaks, you can probably pan it a bit add cut some annoying frequencies and put some or more verb if its not already there. The 1 min ending tail is a bit too much XD, you can probably cut it at 2:05 it would've been fine. Good job :)

Thanks for listening!  You know when other people were mentioning a tail I thought they meant reverb, but you're right there is a whole minute of silence in the end.  Not sure how that happened xD  I'm still learning the ins and outs of virtual orchestration and I'll definitely try for more realistic automation on my next track.

The strings and wind instruments coming in at 1:15 felt so Final Fantasy to me, it immediately brought me back to the good ol' days.  Great harmonic and melodic choices here, it adds so much color.   The water SFX have an effect that makes them sound like they're in a small room which kind of distracted me momentarily, but that went away when the guitar kicked in.

The mixing on this is extremely good, you definitely know what you're doing.  This is one of the most well mixed tracks I've heard in this submission.

Thanks for the kind words!  I'll admit I did overuse reverb on some of the tracks, making some elements sound like they're in a different space from others.  Final Fantasy is one of my greatest inspirations, I'm glad you were able to feel that from listening!

Cool composition! feel like I'm watching cutscene from RPG game, and also never expect that water effect.

Heh more water. There are a few of us (me included) who did a water effect.

Well executed overall, I just think some of the instruments sound a bit MIDI yet for the cleanliness.

I love the synth around 1:40 followed up with that deep bass.

Heh the tail is a little long, but that's okay.

Great work!

Thanks for listening!  I agree the tail is a bit long; I tend to overdo it on my tracks and it's a habit I'm trying to break out of since it makes it harder to hear other instruments.  Any ideas for making my instruments sound less MIDI?

HostSubmitted

If you can get a microphone or a midi controller and record live, it humanizes it. Even one or two non-digital instruments can make the digital ones sound less digital when they are in the mix.

Great start of composition. It asks for vocals :D

The melody can totally be used for kind of opening title scene. It was very uplifting and getting ready for action. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for listening!  Yeah, in hindsight maybe I should've thrown in some vocals.  I was having trouble settling on instruments for the arrangement that I ran out of time in the end.

Love the guitars, the track gives me final fantasy vibes!
