Really unique take on chess that is quite fun! Having to time and bank your shots correctly adds a lot of depth to the game. It can be a bit tricky to get it to a rhythm but once you do it definitely feels pretty rewarding. I rarely used the actions however, either because of how high cost they are or how slowly you gain credits, not really sure what made me do it more. I did use mining each time it was available but that was the only one. Perhaps if the abilities did not cost anything but had a cooldown like mining (probably longer), then I would have been more tempted to use them. But all in all, it's a lot more complex and satisfying than I expected. Great work!

Looks interesting and strategical im just not good at games like this lol.
I thought this was an interesting strategy game with skill requirements. You don't see that often and that made me eager enough to play this game before any of the other game jam entries.
There are a few improvements I'd like to recommend:
It's a very tricky game and the first level seems too harsh. Lining up shots requires getting the angles just right and the enemy starts with more ships than you. Consider an easier intro level.
Maybe also draw a line that shows the path the projectile will take. That's quite common in pool games.
You might want to improve your colour scheme. For example, the player's ships are the same colour as large parts of the background.
The music is very repetitive. It's the same short loop over and over. Consider adding more music.
My ship would often fire a shot while I was trying to select an action. Consider making it so that the ship only fires if a tile on the game board is selected. Or hide the action menu during the shooting phase.
Also, consider allowing for an option to restart the game.

Interesting idea but damn I'm bad at the timing. I also killed the enemy's mothership on my first shot... which apparently is an instant game over D:
Yeah you have to get your score up to the Doom Score before you blow up the Mothership. Its what makes the whole thing a challenging game. You have to really be able to control your shots.
Nice strategy game, i think its very hard to do it, and you seem to do it well. congrats!

I have removed the web version, after watching the Interstellar 6 stream it was pointed out that such submissions are not legal. Though I have the same version up both in a web space and for download here, to avoid confusion and breaking the rules, please use the downloadable version submitted as part of the jam. After the jam I will release the web version.
