How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
The core of the game involves discovering deaths from illnesses and medicines, many of which involve succumbing to unintentional side effects of the drugs (or combinations of drugs and food). No medicines should be taken with butter chicken under any circumstances. (Doing so results in craziness.)

(Multiple playthroughs highly encouraged if possible!)

The texts structure feels incredible with the game implementation!

Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to play and comment!

I don’t think I’ve had as much fun dying from mixing buttered chicken with medication over-and-over again.

Really cleverly presented game :D

Developer

Writing those butter chicken deaths were the most fun I had making the game too. Thanks for playing!

Really cool game.  Honestly everything new I read was a joy to read, but I wish it didn't repeat.  Overall a great experience, I think my favorite drug was the one that made you super hungry,

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I thought I could combat the repetitiveness by adding enough little snippets to randomly choose from for each "state", but I probably would have done that a little differently with some more time. I definitely get how the repeating can, at best, be mildly annoying and, at worst, be confusing.

Thanks for the feedback and for playing!

The idea of the game was amazing and I really liked the atmosphere with the music.

However I had the feeling that the game is not progressing sometimes? But maybe I did something wrong.

Developer

I don't think you were doing anything wrong! Sometimes you're just unlucky and the randomness of some of what is going on behind the scenes decides to shoot the same couple of lines at your over and over. I was aware of this, but didn't end up doing much with it because of time.

I think I have some ideas to communicate more of what's happening to the player which I might take a shot at implementing after the jam.

Oh I get it, don't hesitate to keep me posted if you update it so I can give it another shot ! :)

I love this game. I LOVE this game. I am a sucker for surreal and for text based games, and your writing is stellar. The music is such a perfect choice for the atmosphere, and the presentation is so clean and beautiful.

It honestly reminds me a lot of the stanley parable, as weird as that sounds. Something about the detached, surreal nature but still grounded in consequence.

Definitely going to be revisiting this one! You should extend this out even more!

Developer(+1)

Stanley Parable is awesome. Not a conscious inspiration, but it's definitely possible it was in my mind while writing.

Thanks so much for playing and commenting. I'm so happy you enjoyed it! I am, in fact, considering expanding this at some point... too early to say for sure, though.
