Interesting art style; cool game
This was awesome, I honestly didn’t expect a narrative to go with it. That was really cool, I love how the story and gameplay go hand in hand. The visuals have a trippy look, and it works for the narrative pretty well actually. I had some issues with jumping, that stumped me a good bit. Otherwise, awesome!
thanks for your comments, I really wanted to tell a story and I am glad you liked it, I wanted there to be a level where after the player reflection follows him around the stage and eventually catches him but I could not figure out the code so it was cut I am still working on it though . any taught on where I can find info on how I can do this , I want the reflection to mimic the player movement as he jumps around the stage? Have you played Celeste ?
I actually haven’t played Celeste, as yet! For my game, quite different as it has grid based movement. I added the reflection as a child component to my player, and that makes it move around in the same way!
Really cool game, I love how went with a narrative approach to this and it had me really interested in playing to the end! Took some time to learn the controls, but I got used to it and it was fun finding out what was different each level! the game is a really good take on the theme. The graphics worked well with the black background, and I liked the fact you had spotlights in the level!! It really added to the dark atmosphere!
thanks for your comment, glad you liked the story approach and the visuals, I was stuck on the controls the longest 3 days out of the 7 because this was my first time making a platform using add force to the ridigidbody for jumping, so the jumping off the green spikes is very inconsistent but then I went on the discord and I did get some advice and settled on what i has and started to build the levels based on the controls that I had, believe it or not but I learnt how to make a dialog system for this jam
The art style reminds me of those Five Nights at Freddy's minigames, and I love that. It's cool yet unsettling at the same time, and with the story being how it is, I find it fits. The mechanics took some time to get used to, with the fact that you can jump repeatedly when you touch the sides of platforms being the main thing that took the most time to figure out. I can't count the amount of time the switching of the control messed me up, it made for a really challenging but fair challenge to overcome. For the final boss though, the controls were changing at what seemed to be randomly, and I couldn't tell what was happening
A couple of the platforming challenges took some time to actually beat, however, mostly due to the block-pushing feeling a bit inconsistent at times, and the momentum to increase jump height also feeling a bit inconsistent. But my goodness does it feel satisfying when I finally beat those platforming challenges. Amazing game.
Thanks for the awesome review, I am glad you had fun, this is my first attempt at a platformer at this scale and I continue to learn how to manipulate the ridigidbody with add force instead of kinematic control... as for the story well it was going to be a lot darker but... the controls took a lot of figuring out and it is still not perfect I am continuing to work on it, Hey do you know of a player controller asset, for Unity? five nights at freddy mini game wow!! thanks again
Good job with injecting a narrative into the game. Had some problems with some jumping but I like the premise
thanks for the review, jumping is very hard to keep consistent for me but I am working on it
Cool concept. Great choice in BGM. Just the colors seem too bright and not very comfortable. Otherwise, great job!
thanks for your comments . I realized that at the end but I was too late to change it tick tock ... the music is from a great composer i found on opengameart.org

Great work man.
thank you very much glad you liked liked it
thanks for your comment.
I did not go crazy with the art because to be honest I am really not that great at it ... and since only had a week I did not want to spend a lot of time finding art that would work.
