The aesthetic is on point! You really nailed the old-school everything-can-kill-you vibe, while avoiding the old-school frustration that normally comes with it thanks to the save system. The music is also very fitting.
Not sure what else I can say that hasn't already been said! I went back after my first playthrough to get all the bad endings I didn't get, which I think is a testament to your creativity and writing. Short, simple, and with a surprisingly interesting ending to cut through the humor in such a cool way. Very well done!
Awesome vibe, great narrative voice. As much a visual novel as it is a puzzle. Probably my favorite visual novel-style game of the jam! The orchestral soundtrack was sweet and works really nicely to play to ren'pys strengths. Would love to see this released as a a modern Game Boy Color game.
That was awesome! The writing, the art style, the audio, all really excellent! Also man that ending haha, i love that kinda stuff! Would love to see more stuff like this
Very delightful experience, with a twist! Would scream again! Very distinctive art style and engaging story.
Oooo what a game!! The art, writing, and music all come together really well to make something quite potent and powerful. I was delighted on replays to learn not all decisions have the same consequence (the jog not always emptying with the same liquid), and the twist at the end if you choose to return was awesome. I should have expected some awesome writing in a game made by THE Jonah White, and the playthrough time worked really well for a one-week game jam. Great job!!
Incredible work! I love the restricted resolution and palette and the execution was perfect. With such a short time to make in the Jam, I didn't know if there would be many choices, but you delivered on making a number of branches and it was a lot of fun to reload and walk through each choice!
