Very special game! I like story telling games and this is a really unique game.

I actually love the drawing parts LOL. The spinning brush fits the story that the character didnt paint for a long time and feels hard to control his hands and tools. Its satisfying for me to draw without goals or purpose, just swing the brush and draw.

Since the story mentioned the character quitted "pills", so its kind of reasonable that the world gets more and more wired for him. And this design is amazing!

Love this game and the experience it brings to me!

Hey! Thank you very much for the review! Glad you liked the mechanics, it generally seems hit and miss. I wanted to make the brush rotate around a different pivot on different days, but I was out of time. I also wanted to implement shaking hands when creepy stuff is happening, but did not have enough time for that either.

Super happy you liked the game, the experience and found the painting satisfying regardless. I wanted to extend the story a little by explaining which pills or what happens, but I figured out that it would be actually bad for the story and letting players fill the holes in the story themselves is actually a better option. Thank you again for the very well written review!

I wanted to rate your game back, but it seems that it’s Windows only. I am unfortunately stuck on Mac for few weeks, so I cannot rate it back. Too bad, your game looks amazing from the screenshots! Super sorry about that. :(

Ohhhh!! Your original ideas sounds sooo amazing! It would be super interesting if the time permits XD. Still its very very nice game now! Really enjoy it!

Thanks a lot for liking my game!! This is the first jam for me and my teammates, so glad you like it! It means a lot for us :D
And dont worried about the rating things lol. My teammates and I are working on a post-jam version now, we will try to build it runnable for Mac system as well!

Interesting way to have in this storytelling, creative use to make the player feel creepy while using bright tone asset.

I find the "Juicy" part of the story started late which make the game feel draggy. So either has more variety in gameplay to entertain the player till that part or have the "Juicy" part trigger often. Rotating make it hard to draw too.

overall, a fun way to tell a story by painting. I didn't expect GameMaker can be coded to be like MS paint.

Thank you for your review! I didn’t expect Game Maker to be this versatile either, but in the end, it was actually not that hard to implement at all! Just a surface and the correct sprite placement. You are definitely correct with the juicy parts starting too late. I wanted it to take a little while to freak the player out, but I would do a better job if I let them appear much sooner. It is my curse to make games that are too long for the jams. Glad you liked the game!

I wanted to rate your game back, but it seems that it’s Windows only. I am unfortunately stuck on Mac for the next two weeks, so I unfortunately cannot rate it back. Super sorry about that. :(
