Fully functional! A little lacking perhaps in mechanics - just gathering gold with no possible fail state does get boring rather quickly, and the levels appear to be simply randomly generated, with no actual logic to them (other than that they have entrances/exits and random stuff peppered around). So good work with that - it just needs a little something-something to make it more interesting :)

Developer

Thank you very much for your review! You are totally right — there should be something that will make player fail. Also, procedurally generated dungeons should be fancier, too.

Very nice game! I managed to collect 441 coin and proceed to second level :D

Clean and polished visuals, nice world generations, I liked it! My only suggestion is to make maps more complex depending on Level progress ;) And, as next steps, you might add more challenge to gameplay in future.

Good luck!

Nice visuals! Didn’t manage to find the exit, but wandered around collecting gold for quite a bit :) Did you procedurally generate the dungeon?

You seem to have pixel-perfect collisions - while they are correct code, they feel a little stiff for the player. I personally like to cheat my players around the edges to make it feel quite a bit nicer - I actually have an implementation of this open sourced for my game jam entry if you would like to take a look :)

Good job overall!

Thank you very much for a review! Yes, the dungeon is procedurally generated using random walk and room splitting.

Yes, collisions are silly in my game and I could make them better but, to be honest, I just wanted to make the player controller's code simple.

nice game! i thought i explored the whole level but missed the key! came out with 401 inheritance, good job on the game

Developer

Thank you very much for your review! You've collected a lot of gold, good job! I'm looking at all the reviews right now and understand that I should make dungeons smaller, 'cause it's really difficult to find key and door, which one is even harder because the door is the same color as other objects.

Played for a lot longer than expected. I ended up pressing the 'X' with around 480 gold, but I'm not too sure what the key was for. Awesome job!!

Developer

Thanks for the review! The key is needed to open the doors that you could find in the dungeon. The game does not consist of one dungeon, but many ones, and in each one you must collect as much gold as possible, find the key and open the door that you also had to find.

I will give it another try in the morning (12:50pm here in Aus XD). Sounds like fun,I thought that might be the case, I just got addicted to collecting chests and watching the coin count rise ahah

Ha-ha-ha, yeah, that thing just gives a lot of dophamine! Everybody loves seeing how their bank account rises with a lot of money from their inheritance!

Well done! Although the music's loop is a bit too short imo

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for your review! It's my first time creating a music, but you are totally right, the loop should be longer.

I legit thought it was sourced out. That's a good job for your first!
