I think this concept could be turned into a really great learning tool for aspiring programmers if given more than a week. The fact that you got something working like this in such a short time is really awesome, too!
really cool game im amazed that you managed to do this in this timeframe its a bit buggy but i really liked its concept good job!
OMG if you have done your script compiler in the scope of the jam It's huge! great job, always liked such games. I also get how it fits the theme, I have no knowledge about programming at the beginning of my career)) I have to say it might be too boring for those who are not related to programming thing.
the art is also polished I think
Very cool and unique game! Some audio would really wrap this up!
Amazing idea and a good way for beginners to start the game dev journey.
Great idea! As someone with no coding experience I was able to play through it and more or less get the gist of it! I do wish there was some audio thou. The art style was fun with the little animations looking great! Wonderful entry!
Good game guy. I think you can try to promote it after the game jam. A good introduction to dev. Well done.
Nice idea! It's been said already, but this would be a great way to teach coding, and I like that it allows you to do the same thing multiple ways rather than it forcing you to write the code one way. Good job!
Really cool idea. This could be used to teach somone coding.
The wiki wasnt always correct. charge(); and fire(); were named as chargeRangeAttack(); and fireRangeAttack(); in the wiki.
It would be a useful information too that the y-axis is flipped in coding (i think)
really nice game, the idea of the game reminded me of a game i played in like 4th grade where i think you had to move around a little robot dude using block coding
Great! I believe it could be use to teach begining programming! I am really courious on how the multiplayer would have worked if you had the time?
I was forgeting the semicolons all the time lol, but thats just beacuse i have been programming in python for a long time
The agreed upon plans for multiplayer were mostly to pit robots of different users against each other in a fight, which would run locally (so the server would just distribute the programs to each player), if I recall correctly.
(I was the one who made the programming language happen for the most part, and I'm really used to languages with semicolons, mostly Rust XD)
Nice!
Quite a cool game and an innovative idea! Really liked the concept of coding movements for the character.
