This was a cool take on the game jam theme. Really enjoyed the music and sound effects as well as the gameplay that I could see evolving as your ship gets repaired and upgraded. Looking forward to more of this!
I will definitely be publishing updates when we can! Going to be making the tutorial a fair bit better (I hope!). Give the players more time to find their space legs before throwing space pirates at everyone. That, and... y'know... a few levels. Maybe a story or two. The list goes on! :)
I loved this game. The controls were a bit challenging, however, in that, it kind of reminded me of an old Space DOS game I played as a kid that had similar controls. So in that sense gave me a great sense of nostalgia. I hope you make more of this game.
I will definitely continue updating this one, Nerd Waffle! I had a lot of fun putting it together, and MAN the last few days were full of bug crushing, tinkering and pesky little tedious tasks, but worth every bit of it. Will definitely be publishing some updates once the voting is finished!
