Fun game! Art and animations are nice. Music too.
Love the art! And those are some serious hairballs those cats have!
Seems I'm always harping on sound as feedback. And I'm not sure what sounds you could add here. Maybe have the cats yowl or hiss when they get close or hit eachother. Um, don't add sounds for the hairball like I did for my game called Cat Lady. :)
Please play and rate my game if you get a chance! And I'd love to hear any feedback you might have! Thanks!
For a first game, this is pretty good!
I liked the crisp artwork, and while I think there was room for more music, I appreciated the drum loop.
I think the altitude changing mechanic could be surfaced better, perhaps by requiring the player to switch heights in response to an unavoidable obstacle after a period of time.
Nice cats, nice flying. Good job.
Thank you for reviewing this game. I've taken notes during the stream, here's the todo list:
1. Altitude shouldn't be changed so easily. Should add obstacle or cool down.
2. Player can stay in one spot and not getting hit, which should be detected and prevented.
3. Meter counter should reset when player dies.
4. Consider adding color to the sprites as the game progresses.
5. Add boss fights.
6. May add power up items (shield, bombs etc.).
Will fix/implement them one by one.
Great game. I find out that by changing altitude, other cats can’t hit me.
Thank you for the feedback! Yes there suppose to be at least 3 types of cat in each altitude but I don't have enough time to make them. Also I wanted to make a mechanism that force you to stay in an altitude for certain amount of time, and that was not finished either. Overall this is my first game and jam, Cat Street it's very rough, buggy and unfinished :3
For a first game, it’s more than enought :)
IT HAS CATS ON IT.

Thank you for the feedback! Wanted to make boss fight too, but don't have enough time during this jam. Had to ditch so many ideas to meet up with the deadline :(
same, it really kills your spirit when you have one huge ambitious cool game that you simply have to strip out as much as you can because of time or opportunity, but art is never finished until you decide it is ;)
