Participated in 2022 Linux Game Jam with Cat Street, it was my first game & jam and haven't been updated for a year.

What I've learnt by joining this jam:

1. Better to prototype a 3D game in Godot using CSG nodes + grid textures

2. Multi-player games are way more fun

3. A little knowlege about V-Sync, taught by the mentors of this jam

4. No matter how crappy your game is,  make and submit it, you 2nd game will be always better than that :)

Masterpiece. The only thing I can think of is adding an OR gate, and if the cube is already placed on the button, toggling switch should open the door as well.

Great idea and implementation. It really reminds me Space Cadet. The only suggestions I can think of are:

1. Adding sound and music (only now I realize how important sound is in a pinball game)

2. Change launch from enter to space bar

3. The ball feels a little bit 'sticky' on the flipper

I think the concept is really good, cat sprites are adorable. Love the 'mess cleaning' mechanism (I think it's Area2D?) and the background music.

Just think the sound effect needs to be replaced. May be replace it with a Meow?

And cat food does cost a lot in real life, and I think it would also be fun to force players to find jobs and earn money to buy cat food.

I have Cheessness's jam stream running on another tab when I click on the mess, immediately switched to his stream to see if he's chocking or something...

I  can see great potential in this concept. May be you would want to hook it up with stream tipping as soon as possible. :)

I bet many people will do it, especially streamers :)

Great game. It also gave me an example on how to prototype a 3D FPS in Godot. And all stasis pod occupant must die! I really need their batteries.

Can't wait to see multiplayer. By the way, what do you think of raylab? What advantages does it have over Godot? thanks.

Thank you for reviewing this game. I've taken notes during the stream, here's the todo list:

1. Altitude shouldn't be changed so easily. Should add obstacle or cool down.

2. Player can stay in one spot and not getting hit, which should be detected and prevented.

3. Meter counter should reset when player dies.

4. Consider adding color to the sprites as the game progresses.

5. Add boss fights.

6. May add power up items (shield, bombs etc.).

Will fix/implement them one by one.

Sorry, I tried again and it turns out I broke the box but didn't take the key. Overall this is a interesting game, the smoke bar makes me nervous. :) I haven't played text based game before and it did take me some time to adapt to it.

I got the key but can't open the door.  Also I'm disoriented :(

Love your art style! Can't believe you are only 16 :)

Help needed! I can't use the big hammer on the locked door.

Thank you for the feedback! Wanted to make boss fight too, but don't have enough time during this jam. Had to ditch so many ideas to meet up with the deadline :(

Thank you for the feedback! Yes there suppose to be at least 3 types of cat in each altitude but I don't have enough time to make them. Also I wanted to make a mechanism that force you to stay in an altitude for certain amount of time, and that was not finished either.  Overall this is my first game and jam, Cat Street it's very rough, buggy and unfinished :3

Meow

Excellent tool!
