Hey not bad! The music was interesting, very unique but also fitting for the style of the game. I enjoyed playing it :)

Hardcore. Nice work!

IMHO.

It's probably worth taking 1 or more charges (maybe half), not all of them.
Developer

thanks for playing and your suggestion. I am working on that for the post jam release.

thanks for playing,

I agree now that you mention it, I was going for a retro feel like the snake game on the old nokia 3210 phones, I really had a lot of fun making this game and learnt a lot about adjusting the frame rates and using fixed update.

Nice game! It was fun grooving to the soundtrack while finding orb-free zones.
If anything, I would say smoothing out the movement of everything would elevate the game feel.

Just make it less difficult. Please. I spent 10 minutes just trying to get past the first part. I swear it's impossible. Seems like a good game, but I couldn't see it for myself because I'm too bad at it.

thanks for playing and your feedback , sorry that you could not finish level 1 .   It was my Intention to do a difficulty setting but ran out of time. In this game the snake can cross over itself . there is only a game over if it hits an AC source or the danger walls. I am working on difficulty levels for the post jam release.

Losing all your progress after one hit is brutal.

Otherwise, an interesting concept with decent visuals and sound.

Developer

thanks for playing and your feedback ,  it  is a bit of a "shock" to lose all your progress, it is kind of like a souls like snake game from the 90's . I am setting up difficulty settings for the post jam release.

Interesting game.

I played the first three levels, and I feel that the AC orbs are a bit too erratic (and faster than you) to reliably avoid and that makes losing all your progress too harsh, in my opinion.

I just played this and I must say that it really kept me engaged for a long time. Quite intuitive gameplay and almost** perfectly balanced level and increase in difficulty. I thought the way of having the tail connection be part of the goal was quite unique.

I liked the theme and art style with its almost psychedelic qualities. The music was OK and apart from some small sequences which bothered me the heavy bass actually fitted well with the aesthetics.

**I feel like losing all your points when you get hit is too harsh. Perhaps losing a smaller amount every time would have kept me engaged longer. Also, have you thought about removing the wall which opens when you get enough points? I thought perhaps it would be fun to have the circuit be a part of the map such that you had to keep visiting it to see if you could fill the circuit and then collect more if it was not enough?

Overall, I really enjoyed your entry - good job!
