Really cute game! I included it in my LOWREZJAM compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Developer

Thank you very much! You can jump as the mech on building to crush them ^^ I should have made that clearer.

Testing and showing small indie games is a great thing to do, and testing all of the ones from a gamejam is just impressive, good job ;)

Very cool little game - I particularly liked the little touches like the itch.io and godot logos on the sides of the buildings! I also liked the 2d element in the buildings. Would like to see more going on here, more of a story and more to do in buildings - think this could be developed into a very good game!

Developer

Thank you very much, that's my project ;) !

Very nice game!

I like the visual but You should put some instructions inside the game or something like that

=P

This game has really good atmosphere! The music especially is striking. Jumping around was a really good time, and I had fun smashing stuff. It'd be cool to have a bit more of a goal/more obstacles though.

I love the tree gun ! The graphics are amazing, music is chill and the intro is nice. Can't wait to see the gameplay evolving in a future version.

The graphs are cool and the trees are awesome. The ambition is great on this game and has soooo many possibilities.
I did not understood the goal of the game (I try not to read the description here before I play xDD).
The music can be a bit tedious after some exploration. And at some point I lost the mech and was not able to find it again! xDD

Developer

I agree with you. It'll get better in future version, but this gamejam version lack elements that had to be removed to ship a "working game".

I like the city very much! :) But the minigame is a bit tedious and maybe it was just me, but to me, it lacked motivation for me to go further

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. I indeed did not have time to add as much as I would have liked, but I might continue the development in the future to get the game to the state I pictured.

Sounds great :)

The game's very pretty, and builds a great atmosphere. There were, however, a few issues. At night it was almost impossible to tell where you were going, I was also unable to find any reason to go into the buildings (or leave the mech at all, for that matter.) I also experienced the error problem described by skind.

Developer (1 edit)

Indeed some gameplay elements involving being out of the mech had to be removed. I never encountered the error problem. What's happening, does it prevent you from playing? How is it showing up? What system are you using? Thank you for your feedback.

I'm using windows 10. Sometimes the console window that opens with the game fills up with error messages (The exact message has been posted in one of the other comments). When this happens the game freezes for a few seconds before continuing as normal. It's rather annoying but not game breaking.

Developer

Thank you very much, I'll try to fix that in a post-jam patch.

Developer

I think the bug is fixed now https://timkrief.itch.io/bringing-horizon/devlog/97364/gamejam-results-and-first...

The game has a lot of atmosphere and it's very polished for a game jam.

I got this error in the debug window several times, with subsequent 1 to 3 seconds lag:

  At: servers/visual/visual_server_scene.cpp:585 ERROR: instance_set_transform: Condition ' Math::is_nan(v.x) ' is true.

it happened I think when the trees decayed

I used the windows build.

It's quite annoying, it happens when the trees die. I'm using windows 10 updated to the last version. In other moments the performance is good, I found the problem only when a tree die.

Developer

Thanks, I'll try to fix that in a post-jam patch
