Did you work in a team?
1 (+1 Music Artist)

Was the resolution a challenge?
Résolution was a challenge , specially for the menu and screen informations. Overall, it was pretty fun to do as I like constraint in video making.

What did you learn?
Everytime I join a Jam alone, I'm trying to make a "full" game with an end. It's good to try new things even if they are "simple to do", project's organisation is what I'm looking for too.

I think this ranks as one of the best games in the jam! Hopefully you do flesh this out into a full game, because this by itself is worth playing.

You really took advantage of the small screen space, instead of being limited by it. The fact that the enemy graphics say everything you need to know about how to kill them, and that the background is richly detailed, really shows a lot of finesse. It's a shame about the subpixels, but honestly the smooth animations do the game more of a service.

The fonts impressed me; my own game used a lot of text and I ended up with a 3 x 5 font that works well enough, but I think yours is really economical and yet readable.

I feel I should mention that on Windows 10 in Firefox, I didn't hear audio and had some control issues running the browser version of the game. The download works perfectly!

thank you iandaprix !

I think I simply forgot to enable pixel rounding in C3 and I really wanted to add pad and browser/laptop friendly controls.

I'm also aware of music issue on browser, I think it's due to the compression I used.

It will stay like this for the jam (vacation time!) , but I'm looking forward to add this in a nearly futur.

The font is the smallest I managed to do in order to be readable ;)

Did you tried the small level editor at the end ?

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed this and I thank you again for your great feedback.

Interesting gameplay, very dynamic ! The only downside are the subpixels that appears very often (floating boss, particles).

Wow! That was so great! First, fantastic art! Then the gameplay is smart! It feels so good when you go through a screen without getting hit! The difficulty curve is really well paced to! And as you said, it's a full game!

Respect! Highest mark!

Developer

Thank you very much jujule !

Did you tried the editor ?

I loved this game.... I hope you get move ratings!   I did use joy to key, so I could play with my game pad.... I believe this improved the experience greatly. I used the D_pad for the attack types and the buttons for the colors... I got Hooked after doing this and Played for a long time! That second boss with the shapes and colors was really a challenge! LOVED THIS ONE

Thank you very much marrieddragoon !

I wish I had more time to add PAD support and controls options...

Very neat little game but the controls are NOT laptop friendly

Developer

Thank you Pixel_Trash !

I know the issue with laptop... I should not use NumPad. :(

Really interesting implementation of story into the game! And combat / gameplay is surprisingly deep for this type of game jam.

Thank you Harri.

Did you go to the end ? There's a little more to unlock at the very end ;)
