Did you work in a team?
just one hehe

Was the resolution a challenge?
just a bit, I'm overall quite comfortable with smaller resolutions

What did you learn?
how to scope a project, I didn't have a lot of time to work on the project, so thinking about something that I could complete in 2 days and still be happy with was a bit of a hurdle

Fun yet challenging game. I included it in my LowRezJam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

This was great! Very addictive and I really like the overall flow of the combat. I typically started off just shooting enemies, but the spawn rate of the enemies forces the player to alternate their shots with parries when enemies get too plentiful due to the low fire rate of the gun, which is a great way of using game design to force the player to use all the tools at their disposal!

The small size of the map and the clustering of enemies also forces the player to dash to safety often, ideally through enemies, which is good design! I really like the simplicity of the level and enemies combined with the complexity of the player's toolset.

My only common hurdle was: I think dash should have been mapped to right click, and parry should be shift. It was a little awkward to dash towards my cursor with shift and parry with right click (I'd often mix the two up).

Nice job!

I like the visual style of this game. It is overwhelming at first, and it would be nice to have a sort of sandbox / play space at the start, just so I can get used to the game's controls. I was immediately ambushed, and I didn't know how to control the game, so I died right away.

Great work for one person over two days! I love the colour scheme and logo, though wish there was more contrast between the characters and background. I tried playing this on a laptop and was absolutely obliterated by the enemies. Figure it might be easier with mouse & keyboard or a gamepad.

I think this is the winner for best unique mechanic/concept I've seen so far!

This really captured the feeling of dashing and parrying in an action game. I genuinely loved it, I think the highest I got was 44?

I'd love to see this continued and finished

Ironically my only complaint is that the screen was a little small, it left little room for error so I navigated into an enemy too often accidentally

Nice and tight! Love what you did within the scope :)

The dashing, shooting, and parrying all feel tight and responsive. I really like the way the visual effect works for the parry as it hits more than one enemy.
