Did you work in a team?
I worked alone
Was the resolution a challenge?
It was, small camera size force me to have a little slower gameplay than I meant to make

The visuals are well done, I love the number of different enemy sprites and each with varied attacks.
I did find player movement to be quite sluggish. The placement of spikes and platforms and density of enemies made gameplay very frustrating given the slow player movement.
This entry has great potential, I think speeding up player movement and jump height would fix alot of the issues I came across.
Nice game, a bit difficult as you can get quite a few enemies that require multiple hits in a tight space where maneuvering and firing cadence doesn’t give you that much berth. Nice gfx, nice sound, and very enjoyable. Good job altogether!
Solid and polished platformer although I found it difficult to progress. Great visuals, sound and movement, deserving of a high rating.
I loved this game! The visuals, sound effects, music are very well made and fit well together. Unfourtunately, I didn't know how to proceed in the third level. I think the gameplay overall could be a little bit more balanced, like making the player a little bit faster or something.
I also thought of increasing the move speed, but at this resolution it gets kind of confussing
There was a camera lock bug in the third level but is fixed now.
Thanks for your comment.
I loved that there was octolateral aiming at this low resolution. I wasn't a fan of the frantic pace, the second level frustrated me very early on. I felt stuck between killing each enemy and just escaping, but either too many enemies spawn at a moment to deal with any of them and, escaping them jsut means they'll catch up exactly when you come across a whole wall of hitboxes.
More please!
This was great! Gave me a real "wonder boy" vibe. I really liked the music and sprite work, and loved that it had 8 directional aiming. Encountered an issue with the camera locking too hard in a couple of areas, but I still had fun until the end (I think it was the end, anyway, I couldn't figure out how to progress further). Would love to see what you could do with this concept given more time.
Interesting comparison, I have never played wonder boy though, I was thinking more of Ghost and Goblins like game with a more controllable character.
The camera lock bug is fixed now
