Did you work in a team?
Just me. Had lots of fun. Not as polished as it could be but I'm happy with it.

Was the resolution a challenge?
Displaying readable text was a struggle, I found a decent pixel-y font that helped.

What did you learn?
First time making a game with levels so I had to learn how to do that in Godot, which wasn't too bad. Also this was my first attempt at designing (very primitive) puzzles, so that was super interesting, I will definitely try that again in the future :)

I gave this a higher gameplay rating because you're genuinely trying to explore a new game idea.

This one falls into that funny territory where it mixes puzzle and action elements and ends up doing both half as well.

Each level did ask me to do something new. I enjoyed the thinking part of it, but I didn't really enjoy the action part of it as much. I would like to see the same challenges but untimed.

I would say either focus on this being a great action game or a great puzzle game. Lean really hard into one specific genre and it will end up more focused and better overall.

You're totally right! I started out wanting to make an action game, but it felt repetitive so I switched to puzzle at the last minute. I feel the same way about puzzle games where you can know the solution but struggle to execute it... I'll do better next time :)

Thanks for playing!

This is great! This is such a good idea and even though the game is short you definitely explored this idea well. I'd love to see a full version of this, in general I love the idea of a defense-style game with portals. This game is  a very good mix of strategy and real-time action. Awesome work!

Thank you so much!

Cool puzzle game, would love to see more of it!

Also, I think there were some subpixel things going on when placing the portals, so I don't think it was true 64x64

Oh no! You're right, I forgot to round the position of the portals, too bad...

Thank you for playing!

It was fun to stack bullets and launch them on some creature!

With a couple more well-thought mechanics and great levels, this could be a polished and perfect experience. I have always liked portal mechanics and designs around them, wished there was more to play!

Good job!
