Did you work in a team?
Yes we were two! I did the game and Earl20 (Jdufour) did the music!
Was the resolution a challenge?
A combined use of 3D sections and 2D sections allowed me to make zoomed in parts (pet) and zoomed out parts (minigames) both clear to the view in spite of the resolution limitation. Also The text is always a challenge in such a resolution but clever UI toggling base on the mouse position made it so that big text buttons were not an issue in the main game.
What did you learn?
I really wanted to start working on this type of games and now that this is done, I'm ready to continue improving upon what I have here to make a substantial game!

Congratulations!! The fact that it's related with virtual pets caught my girl's and my attention while scrolling in the submissions page, then we starting playing and get obsessed with collect enough coins to get more eggs!!! PD: the level with a lot of fruits that fill the entire screen is evil haha
Oh that's so nice! I'm glad you both liked it! The level with the fruit overflow is a bug I did not encounter before submitting ^^ If you got at this point, you should have got at least 6 pets! Congrats!
Super ambitious. I'm looking forward to a greater variety in mini-games, and perhaps some more ways to interact with your Mini-Pet!
Cute gameplay and graphics! I'm impressed that you made this in 24h, congratulations. I didn't understand how the "game" part worked at first, but after the score screen showed up it was pretty clear. Great job :)
Thank you very much! 24 hours over the course of the 14 days, not in one sitting ahah.
Cool game. I really liked the creepy 3d pets. Simple yet satisfying short gameplay loop that was the perfect length for a jam game.
It took me a while finding the correct way to play the minigame, but for the rest is good. Wanted more interaction with the pets though, I tried to pet them, but it does few. For the rest GG it’s a good game!
very cute : ]
The art is really nice, especially the transition from 2D to 3D. Though I didn't get how the minigame works, are you supposed to let the ball shown on the start screen go down or save them?
Thank you very much! Blueberries are bad so you have to let them go and only keep the good fruits.
Really cute game. I dig the aesthetic it's like if Nintendogs was on the PS1 but made by SEGA. Fun stuff!
Thank you very much! I am inspired by a lot of different games and Nintendogs and the Chao Garden from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle are definitely two of them!
The presentation was good. I really enjoyed the music and the 3D view of the pet. I wasn't super clear on what to do in the minigame, but it was still a fun time.
The minigame is meant to be discovered, at the start you are told that blueberries are bad and at the end you have a result screen showing you how much each fruit is worth. You have to let the blueberries go and keep the good fruits!
