Did you work in a team?
1 member, it was a blast!
Was the resolution a challenge?
Fitting all the UI elements on screen was a challenge. It would have been nice to make larger grids, but due to the resolution, had to keep it limited to 8x8
What did you learn?
How to scope things properly and allocate time. Thanks for having me!

It’s so clever how you’ve combined a classic tower defence with a deck building mechanic. At first I didn’t realise that I could only play three cards before the enemies would start, so that caught me out, but other than that it’s perfect. Great job on making the UI legible at such a tiny resolution!
Nice mix of tetris and tower defense. Interesting puzzles show up from this combo. The music is nice, but probably too chill for this kind of game. Very nice entry!
Congratulations on making this game !
I've played your game during a live that you can watch here :
The live is timestamped so you can go directly to your game.
I hope the feedback and live reactions will be useful. Keep it up !

Liked this game a lot, such mechanics is very fascinating to me: a few years ago I abandoned a similar project. Therefore, I will share my experience: I suggest replacing squares with hexes. And of course, without jam limitations it’s more interesting to play on a large field.
The soft tones of the artwork and the music work really well together. I found it soothing to play this game. I liked the card/TD combination as well. I can see myself coming back to this game! Great submission!
Really enjoyed this!
The only thing I wish was different was if you could build on top of what you’ve built in previous levels.
Like maybe having each level be a few separate waves of enemies or something.
Anyway lots of fun, thanks for making this!
Tetris tower defense is such a great idea. I'd almost just lean into that totally and skip traditional TD guns honestly and make it like a puzzle game. Playing with the path with the tiles was really fun, nice job!
Super cool idea to combine tower defense with a card game! Also kind of feels like a puzzle game to make the enemies go over as many lava tiles as possible. Really well executed and clearly communicated (although I found the in-game explanation after playing through 15 levels).
