Did you work in a team?
No

Was the resolution a challenge?
First the resolution limitation is 64×64 during all LowRez jams... Was felt like an advantage more than a limitation... Because the small resolution made the art really clear and easy... And as this is my first game jam... I can confirm that this time of game jams encourage new comers to rise interest in the gamedev field...

What did you learn?
I am using the Godot game engine for building Arcade Back... It is a very fun experience to use this game engine... Doing pixel art and making a 2d flat rpg is just a very amazing and fun experience... Proud to be chosen LowRez2022 game jam to be my first ever game jam... A vote of thanks to the organisers...👐

The arcade joystick was a fun addition to make it feel like an actual arcade game! Shame you couldn't finish it.

some audio would be nice, and if it this game has two parts, but imho the second part should come sooner, because the snake gameplay is a little bit long.

Too bad you couldn't finish the second part, you have an interesting concept. As for the first bit, I felt like if the snake game wasn't the main appeal of the game then it went on a bit too long…

I enjoyed the fourth wall breaking arcade machine framing :)

Good effort!

Hey good entry here, congrats on submitting! I'm also using Godot, pretty fun :D. I really liked the arcade aethetic, you should totally finish this project. The second part can be far smoother and the glitching of the tile map can be easily fixed. Add some enemies and a goal and that's mostly it!

Developer(+1)

The glitching is fixed. The player movement is smoother now.  Now working on the other parts of the game. And will update it as fast as I can.

Thanks for understanding!

The first part was normal good snake - second part seems to be a kind of top down action game - good luck on working on the second part!

Your words means a lot for me 😊... I am trying to complete it as fast as I can...

Thanks for motivating!

I was eager to beat the score of 30 to see what would happen. But after I did, it appears that the second part of the game is mostly unfinished?

Developer(+1)

I haven't completed the game yet. There will be a hijacking when you reach 28 and then the arcade machine will be stolen and then the adventure begins of retrieving the arcade machine. I am just working on it. The complete version will be available soon. Stay tuned !

Thanks for approaching!
