Themes
The optional themes gave me the idea for my game. As I decided to build a peaceful game that even my children could play.

Tools
I used DragonRuby GTK as the engine and Piskel for graphics

Lessons
A limited time frame can actually focus my attention on the most critical elements of the game, helping me stay on track and prioritize my actions more effectively.

It'll be tranquil they said, your days of button mashing and time trails are behind you they said!

I did enjoy it though, sadly it crashed when the time ran out on one of the levels. :(

Thank you for this amazing lowrezjam! This was my first entry to a game jam, ever. What a fun experience. Never expected that anyone would even try to play it. Learned a lot on what to concentrate on for the next time.

I really enjoyed your game! The relaxing vibe and simple gameplay made it a pleasant experience. I think adding some additional challenges, like competing bees or hazards, could make it even more engaging. Expanding the world with more areas to explore would also be a great addition. Looking forward to seeing where you take this after the jam. Great job!

Cute game! It took me a minute to figure out that you didn't need to mash the space bar to get pollen, but that's probably just a me thing! Nice job!

My bee empire fell when my nectar extraction minion broke the game. Fun game though I wanted to finish my nectar production process when it froze on me. Had fun doing it though.

Congratulations Dragon Rider!

Nice entry, relaxing and no pressure. I guess the opposite of mine :)

Very cute and dug the music. I agreed with the other commenters about adding some challenge.

Huh, neat. Kinda like a hidden object  game meets flappy bird.  I'll echo the comment that more challenge would have been appreciated, but I think the core idea here has some legs.

Give me bigger spaces to navigate (with camera panning?) and I'd do a whole open world thing. Maybe flowers could regenerate pollen over time or maybe you gotta keep going further and further afield?

Interesting concept. Game lacks some difficulty - for example another bees (like competitors) who also flies and collects nectar what forces you to fly farther from the Hive. Or may be people with bugnets who chases you for a some time. Long story short - game is too simple, not bad - just simple.

Thank you for your feedback—you’re absolutely right; the game could benefit from more difficulty. I had plenty of ideas, but time was a constraint. After the jam, I’m planning to add more features. :)

Cool game! The main screen bee reminds me of a dog. For some reason the game also crashed at one point. I was spamming the spacebar to collect some nectar and it stopped working after hitting 300.

Thank you for your review. Sadly the HTML version has a problem and crashes randomly. I will try to fix it. The downloadable versions should work fine.

Really neat concept! Obviously theres not much gameplay, but it wwas pretty fun just meandering around in this adorable little world you created. Great job!

Thank you! I think it would be great to add an option that allows players to explore the world more freely. Expanding the game to include a larger variety of biomes would also enhance the experience. I really enjoy this aspect of the game, too!
