Themes
We went with the "You are the environment" theme which felt like a good jumping off point for a tower defense sort of game!

Tools
Gamemaker Studio, Aseprite. Both great for making tiny pixel art and tiny games!

Really cool game. I got 205 points, and thought I could just keep going but they overwhelmed me. I guess it wasn't to bee.

I like how the gameplay, although very simple, can get very intense and strategic, having to decide where to strike first. Graphics, sound and the "only one bullet can exist at a time" reminds me of some NES games, so this was also a nostalgia fuel for me. :)

One thing I might like to change is for enemies which take more than one hit to destroy to change their appearances after getting hit (perhaps to these of less resilient enemies) so that player instantly knows the situation just by looking at it, without needing to remember what was before, but that is just a minor thing and, other that that, it is a nice little game. Well done! :)

I actually really enjoyed the game, it was very fun to play, i did run into a bug that if you click the keys at the same time you will shoot multiple bullets rather than one at a time, but other  than that, it was very very enjoyable and simplistic, loved the art too!

Saw a bit of your stream and thought I'd check out your game! Both the title and main theme music are really great and the art also looks nice within the resolution. The gameplay, while simple, worked flawlessly and felt intuitive to understand. I didn't start to feel any challenge till around wave 10 so that ramp up could've been a bit quicker, but thats also preference anyway. Nice work overall!

Well made, if a bit one note ;) Got a bit more interesting by wave 9. Perhaps it could be made more interesting  with more complex paths, so its not just attack whatever is closest, Or more directions opening up.

Was looking forward to play this game since I saw the dev on the stream! Pretty neat game, even though it doesn’t have much “deep” strategy on later levels you do have to think a bit.

Presentation wise I love everything you have here, only complaint is the high audio level on the start. Otherwise, really cool entry.

I like the basic idea of the gameplay, it would be worth digging deeper to see where it can lead. Somewhere it reminded me of DIGIDRIVE from the Bit Generation collection on GBA. The universe is cool and I like pixel art with that touch. And the music is too good.

Oh no, just one missfire and all the fall... It has very nostalgic vibe, especially because of music. :) Nice little game, keep it up!

I like the simple approach to the art, and the game just plays great, although it is simple. I made a similar game a couple of years ago with rhythm mechanics, and this one reminds me of that; well done!

Thanks so much! I've learned the hard way that simple is king when it comes to jams!

Simple game idea. Bu well executed. Good to see more bee themed games. :) Got 196 point on first try. Have to try again.

Developer

Thanks so much!! We love a good ol' bee game around here!

Interesting concept. Could use some extra defense mechanisms such as powerups which clear the entire screen when overwhelmed. The game seems very easy until you misfire one shot and it's hard to catch up on the later waves. Nice visuals and UI elements work well together.

Great feedback! Thanks for checking it out! <3
