When I saw the second area with a swarm of enemies I gave a bit and started just running by all enemies but of course doing that I died haha! I still loved the concept and 2.5d vibes with me.
This was really fun! I kinda gave up though cause I sucked at it so bad lol
Woah, I knew you had a WIP for Ludwig Jam (I've been keeping up, yes, what a surprise--), but wow, this was really surprising - I love this, despite not being a huge Zelda fan myself (Twilight Princess was pain and suffering...). I adore the art style you implemented + the music/sfx was really nice too, and fit the overall vibes nicely! Recently, I've been able to appreciate the whole coding thing a lot more--anyways, this game was a super nice nostalgic (can it even be called nostalgia when I'm not even that old...) throwback so kudos! 💜 Best of luck to you!
(Also I died like. multiple times, I don't think I'm cut out for these types of games lmao -- now go get that bread!!)
A really fun experience! The art and design was awesome. Made me feel nostalgic but also felt fresh. Honestly a well fleshed out game for how little time was given for the jam. It had interaction with NPCs and small side things to do. I thought it'd be quick, but it was complex and a fun challenge. I was surprised the further I progressed and it kept me interested from start to finish. Great job
This was a really cute and fun experience! Would have loved to see the coins used a bit more, but was still hooked from beginning to end!
i love to progress and go back to use my progression u did it really well. I only wish i couldve adjusted the volume but the rest is nicely done :>
I also made a toy lang for my game for unity and lua so seeing another person who has done it and better is really cool, great game. After I died i quit because i felt like i lost all my progress and that kinda sucked
oh wow you also did a toy lang? that's sick, I have to check out your source lol. I used to be a programming language grad student so I love messing around with them for everything.
Sorry that you felt you lost all your progress - you should still keep item and money so you at least don't have to unlock them again - but I get that it sucks walking all the way back to wherever you were. If this was a longer game I would try to add in a checkpoint system or something.
This has some great level design, feels like a legitimately good small scale zelda. Think the bommerang and the throw limits also make an interesting change from the usual swords in zelda-likes. Not sure it fits the theme but really impressive none the less. Wild how you managed this in a week.
Gameplay is fun and the music and sound effects in the game are excellent!
great game! I really like the 2D/3D art style and there's a lot of stuff to explore around with! the combat is also cool with the double boomerangs, good job!
Quite impressive how much you managed to fit into just a week of dev time, well done Jlasers ᓚᘏᗢ
Good graphics and gameplay! Would have been cool if coots could also attack enemies
I really liked the music and the overall aesthetic, I found it a relaxing playthrough. Good job!
