How does your game fit the theme?
I was inspired by the athletes in the theme reveal video and wanted to create a relaxing, but challenging adventure game that represents the skills that an athlete (in this case a Free Diver) needs to succeed. Mix in some adventuring Tomb Raider style and voila, we have Free Dive!

Chill boat. Thumbnail gave me a bit of Second Life vibes. Game was a bit laggy on my computer, having an option to turn off motion blur or other visual features could have maybe helped. Anyways the bottom of the ocean looked really nice with the light refraction effect! And DAAAMN I became rich. Makes me only wonder where did she store all those treasures. Well done!

thanks for commenting! What kind of GPU do you have? Curious about the performance

I have to double check when I get back to that computer next time. Anyways slightly older (2018 maybe) windows laptop

ah ok - probably an intel built in - no wonder performance isn't great. Will see if I can tweak some settings for lower end cards like this.

Thanks again for giving it a try!

Yup. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060

I was able to play it, but there was screen lag

Developer

ah ok yeah I thought I had squashed the settings enough for a 1060. Will keep that in mind for the next build!
Thanks again

Nice style and it looks gorgeous but at a cost. 3GB of game and very long loading times. Maybe my machine doesn't meet the hardware requirements. For me there was a lot of lag going on, especially trying to turn around in the environment. The gameplay is simple and straight forward. Maybe it needs something to spice it up a little.

Thank you! I didn't end up with enough time to optimize the build further, there's a bunch of unused stuff in there unfortunately.  Definitely have ideas to expand the gameplay a ton going forward after the jam is over.

Thanks for leaving your feedback! Appreciate it!

Nice work Mike! Relaxing experience. Beautiful artwork! I'm thankful that all those scuba divers left their oxygen canisters on the sea floor :)

Pros:

- Unreal Engine Graphics

Cons:

- Unreal amount of game missing

- More or less just a Tech Demo, (like much Unreal content)

- Unreal is a powerful engine but indies looking to make a game in a jam should be careful, as UE games are typically for long term large scale games.

But it was made with Unity! The game's creator works for Unity, and does amazing high-end stuff for Unity.
