How does your game fit the Magical Girl genre?
In this game, the player plays as a magical girl to fight against a void grievous lady who attempts to ruin the world. Not only the art design resembles that of a magical girl, the spells and attacks also resembles what is traditionally used by a magical girl.
Which theme(s) do you pick?
Grievous Lady
How does your game fit those theme(s)?
The boss that players fight against is a huge grievous lady from the void. She has multiple hairs that attacks with her main body.
Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.
We made almost everything in the game. We used some plug ins for things like state machine, hair physics etc. We also used some flipbook sheets from the assets that I bought previously, but they were only used to create visual effects for minor spellshots when we ran out of time in the end

The visuals of the game are beautiful. However, I also found the controls difficult to work with and found the game very easy if I spent time charging up all the way to max before getting the enemy to spawn. The music also didn't loop for me, and each time I used the "Dawn of Demise" attack, the character would say the voice line twice.
I would love to see this game polished and to see where this project ends up!
The characters are beautifully crafted. the envionrment is also visually refreshing. Unfortunately, I am struggling on the game control. Maybe it's because I am using mouse+keyboard?
Nice demo, very beautiful visually. I would love to see the finished project!
Movement and charging speed are too slow, making the best tactic of the epic boss battle just to find a blind spot and charge there for a couple of minutes, and then to fly to another blind spot to stand there and click-click-click.
And the reversed mouse controls felt very strange.
This project seems too ambitious for a game jam.
I do like the direction of this game, but the at the current state the game is really scuffed to play.
mouse direction is reversed
