Which theme(s) do you pick?
4. I used the rabbit, the deer and you.
How does your game fit those theme(s)?
There is a Rabbit and a Deer, Rabbi and Reed who took Miko's friend away from her. She has to find them and defeat them to get her friend back.
Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.
All of the sprites were made by me. A few of them were from another game of mine, but the main ones were created for this game. For the tile sets I adjusted the colors of the pre existing ones to fit my story. All the art was done by me as well.

Story was really good, I've always liked the concept of distorted realities and doing stuff under the pretense of doing something else so it scratched an itch for me. I really love the design work here especially the main character! I do wish there was some actual challenge to the fights though I understand why there isn't thematically. Great work nonetheless! Would love to see more in the future
Thank you! I really appreciate that! Yea I really like those concepts too, especially when people get it really spot on. And I definitely plan on doing more. :) Thanks again!
Interesting story, definitely more dark and psychological than the typical mahou shoujo. I only got two of the (bad) endings. Also, looking into each mirror gives some nice foreshadowing...
Thank you for playing it! I appreciate that. :)
I got all three endings. And didn't understand at all what the author was trying to say. The character goes crazy, but why? Why does the other endings make no sense at all? It seems like the plot was written at the last moment:)
Thank you for the feedback. Basically her friend was killed but she can't accept reality, so In her mind she thinks he was kidnapped so she turns into a magical girl to try to save him. The ending after the last battle was her in reality killing the 2 who "took"/killed her friend. So yea, she just couldn't accept the reality of what happened. Again, thank you for the feedback. :)
stuck couldnt go down
did you give the cookie to the downstairs guy?
what cookie ? hehe
lol if you talk to the guards one of them gives you a cookie, you give that to one of the stair guards. But it can only be used once. Thank you for trying g the game out :)
Welp that was definitely dark.
In one hand I wonder if this really counts as magical girl when it seems like the main character is just going full crazy and hallucinating. In the other hand, girl powering through with the power of love and friendship along great mechanic-story synergy, like the magic menu being empty!
Excellent art, there's even fancy cutscene panel sequence for the transformation and everything, that was great too!
Short and (bitter)sweet but with different endings available is also a very good touch.
Oh, and lots of different NPC dialogue and object interactions, love that too!
The part that I liked the least was feeling that the whole rabbit and deer theme wasn't really explored. There's a bit of Alice in Wonderland's "follow the rabbit hole", but the deer just seems to be there for the ride? It could've just been the rabbit and everything would've worked pretty much the same. Great sprites and art pieces with them though!
Seems like you're planning to expand on this one, definitely enjoyed the experience here, keep up the good work!
Thank you! I really appreciate the feedback. And yea I was questioning myself also if it really would be considered a true "magical girl" story, buuuut I went with it anyway lol. And I had a lot more planned for the deer and the rabbit, but I had other things I had to work on so I had to cut a lot out :(. But again, thank you very much for checking it out and for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Oh, and yea I plan to expand it and add a few more endings, as well as make a better, more unique battle system too. ^_^
