This game fits into this genre as it has many elements of being a magical girl within it, such as sparkling transformations, magical girls pet/mascot thingy and protagonist magical power is to get inside posessed student's mind after defeated them, helping them by magic to unravel their hidden problem inside and save them from the darkside.

Which theme(s) do you pick?
Under Pressure

The main (and real) bad guy of the story is the stress and pressure that the protagonist inadvertently puts on the students.

If you follow any of the optional challenges, elaborate as you like.
Senator. A direct reference to Senator Armstrong as in-game final boss.

Were the assets for your game made during the jam? Elaborate as you see fit.

Minmin was really mean to the principal that I laughed so hard haha. Anyway I'll put everything in one paragraph:

What I can say about the game. I really liked the idea presented here I think it would make a great RPG Maker. The mahou shoujo principal is so cute. I can't say much about the audio because it didn't work for me. The drawings are fine. The battle was a deal breaker to me, really bugged. But I can understand that because I can see the ambition, in the entire idea. Like I said, it could've been a nice RPG Maker game because it fits well for that engine.

Just tried your build on html but I had trouble progressing through, at the first battle it froze, then closed, and retried but froze again when the enemy approached. Since it's your first jam it's understandable. Hope you keep working on it! Looking forward to updates!

Thank you for your comment
This game has tons of bugs and technical issues due to a lack of skill in the programming department (which is just me I'm the only person on the team who knows how to do somewhat complex coding). So we decided to work on completely rebuilding the game from the ground up and change the type of game completely to fit our team strength which is art and story telling so stay tuned for the upcoming update.

Thank you for your time

You noted that this was a prototype with many bugs, so I went into it with that understanding.

The opening cutscene was difficult, as others have mentioned, with the slow pacing and grammatical errors. One thing I think you could update that would make a huge difference would be that instead of a mouse click skipping to the next line of dialogue, it could first finish the current text. And then clicking again would start the next line.

The battle system actually looks like it's off to a good start! The UI is simple but nice looking and easy to read. The character sprite is nice too. It's still pretty buggy here though. I got close to winning a battle, but I couldn't get "skills" to work so the last enemy beat me when we both had a tiny amount of HP.

The artwork and sprites in the DevRoom all look great! I think is this off to a good start, and I hope you keep working on it!

Well, this isn't that bad for a first game jam game, I mean, my first game jam games were, pretty bad if I remember correctly.

I think you should be glad that you have so many coworkers, it's really a good thing.

The writing feels a little weird? There were some grammatical errors there and there.

Next time try to look at the idea you have (don't overlook it) so that it will be capable of being done in a month. There's usually some things to be added (or bugs) so please remember about this.

But yeah, good job.

This is described as a prototype, and you really weren't kidding.

The game is way too big, physically. I had to zoom out to 50% for it to fit in my fairly large browser window.

The opening cutscene is painful. The type-on effect is way too slow and can't be sped up. Frankly, for a prototype I wish it was just omitted, because having to wait forever is much worse. It's skippable, but I wanted to read the dialogue. The dialogue itself feels like a rough translation, with some weird terminology used. I'm not sure where POV1 came from, and there's a lot of telling rather than showing. I think there are some interesting ideas here, but it's really hard to follow.

Eventually, I gave up and just skipped through the dialogue hoping there would be some gameplay. There is, but it's also super rough.

It's enough to sorta get an idea of how the game is supposed to play, but it's super clunky and opaque at this point. I strafed around, couldn't figure how to turn, ran into something, stopped, and after a few seconds entered a battle. That was at least fairly straightforward. I did like the UI concept with the buttons near the character. I softlocked it, though, maybe because I tried to open the (unimplemented?) skills menu.

There's music credited, but I didn't hear any. Not fully implemented, or bugged?

The one thing that I can really comment positively on is the art. It's cute, it's bright, it's colourful, it drew me into the game in the first place. I'm not sure if the screenshots shown on this page are in the game but they have a 90s-cartoon energy to them which works great for the genre.

I don't want to be too harsh on this. It think this could be a great game someday. But it's just not there yet, not even close.

Yep. A lot of things in the game are bugged like a lot, a lot. They were supposed to be a Vdo cutscene before the combat but it's bugged out we don't know why either. Due to this being our very first game jam, we have no clue what we should be doing, (especially me who is the core and only programmer for the game) we make tons of mistakes and miss-steps along the way, we learn from it and hopefully we grow out of it.
