Sorry for replying such late, wanted to play the game again this time with reading the story carefully.

It is very good and clean (except the 2 or 3 text walls that made me want to ignore the rest of the story)

So, although I am not a good writer, I would advise to make the story a bit more chaotic (liked the part where Flandre came) so that it would make more players who get bored easily (like me) more interested in the story. Also please do not do text walls, but maybe I am just overreacting.

Anyways sorry for not looking at the story this much during the first play, it is charming and stuff. Good luck!

Thank you for your comment!

I made her monologue this long because I've just learned how to make shaking text in unity and thought it is so cool it should stay longer lol.

Also, I guess I had no good writing in this game (except obscure references and weird jokes) so the entire Suika thing would somehow be a good plot twist and make at least for a mediocre writing.

Again thank you!

Hey Kasha, thanks for your comment!

It seems as if I was completely wrong about this game, it is just so good!

Yet I think the balance is good, the music is amazing (especially main menu theme) and visuals are pretty well made,

The bullethell part was engaging which is good, the story itself isn't anything new though.

It looks as if it was from steam.

I love it. The concept is great but I think you could make some more cool things with it.

Great potential, keep it up!

Kogasa suprised me

A very interesting game, one of the better concepts in this jam I think.

Unfortunetely it becomes very hard since the player cannot heal Hecatias much, and the enemies become a bit boring (the same thing over and over again), but the spawner feature is interesting.

Anyways, graphics are good, music isn't bad, I have 0 idea how it would have pride themes but the idea is great.

Oh btw I'd love to see more puzzle elements like in the first stage of the game.

Also I hope my opinion isn't that harsh. Good job!

I think Saishoo outdid himself with some of his tracks, and of course I love Suika's theme.

The writing felt a bit random as I was just referencing some old touhou fanworks.

Epilogue is actually a fun idea. Thanks!

Thank you for your comment!

Seiga games are underrated agreed. Not as much as Ichirin games though.

Soooo...

The music is totally great I have never expected Sekibanki's theme to jazz so hard.

The writing and art are awesome (except the fact that some are cut in bottom)

Also maybe it would sound weird or something but sometimes the panel just went into one of the sliders

but that problem may be just me

Oh anyways, good job!

Writing and art are both really good! Also the mention of Ichirin makes this game much better!

My only complaint is that it becomes a little boring after few minutes. I played until stage 3.

The aura was good though.

Alright time for commenting.

In the first place - it was done in unity???!!! It looks so good as if it was ren'py or something. I loved all the UI and the images were pretty good.

In second - I enjoyed the voice acting (espiecially Mystia's one) good job!

There might have been some bugs with item slots, but very solid work + the mere concept of fishing game inside a vn is so good I wonder why I haven't thought about this.

Also it was pretty smart to make Kokoro the MC. Thanks.

Thank you for such a long and good comment.

Yoshika is british???!!!!

Also Suika stealing the upgrades and somehow wanting to hurt Seiga is just a weird thing I added for undertale-like vibes. It was a bit improvised but I think it is kinda cool. Yo!

(1 edit)

Very interesting concept!

I felt that this game is a bit too hard though.

Also the game itself is very clean and complete. Good job! :D

The game is very hard and not in a fair way.

Especially the second stage enemies, their attacks are kind of undodgeable. I've beaten the game only because of rushing into exits.

The graphics on the other hand, are pretty cool and nice, as well as visual effects.

Sorry for harsh opinion but that's what I've thought about this. Good job! :D

Thanks for playing and commenting!

Yep it is kinda tricky, and thus the consequence theme: you may either fight and die or simply live but with enemies on your back...

Or something like that, anyways thank you!

Yeah I like the idea of consequence modifiers, but there is much room for improvement I think.

Yeah. a very solid concept, good game and time management

A very clean game isn't it?

Expected more Camus references but whatever;

The idea/concept is pretty cool, the fact that bullets don't kill the player is very interesting.

The physics though, were very unfair, the colliders on bullets weren't on trigger so they just shot me into air, also some enemies are pretty much unavoidable which is not so good for bullethell.

Anyways I liked the concept.

Easy 5/5 on concept

Quality over quantity, I liked that.

It is short but the patterns are pretty good and music and aesthetics... it is a solid game.

Also, Nue maybe just needs more attention... as well as Ichirin...

Thanks for playing and for the reply!

I think that it would be something like kappas' invention - like Nitori shouting "Hey look I combined chess with fishing!!!" It would be cool.

Woah thanks for playing and for a reply!

I like the idea of fishing battles...

Yooooo thanks so much for playing and commenting!!!

I also like the idea of Koishi and Louise making games, maybe will do something about it more in the future.

The UI is bad I agree.

Is this a Tim Follin-like main menu theme???!!!!

Besides that, what a great game, I think it shows the evolution of touhou well.

One of the few vn that made me actually keep going

Thanks for playing and commenting!

As I wrote, Kanako with chess kings is pretty cool to me.

Sanae probably got that vibe from Koishi

Alright this is a complete visual novel with 2 minigames...

I wasn't even thinking you could do something like this with ren'py

Good job! Also smiling Momoyo is pretty cool.

Yo that is pretty fun, and made in scratch which is pretty cool.

The blocks (at least when I played) bugged a little, but, well it is scratch

Good job and so cute art!

aaa so fun

I'm still bad at rhythm games though

Thanks for playing and for reply!

I already know art is great, but thank you for writing about theme interpretation.

I made this game mostly because I had like one and a half day left and my other game was mostly completed... so thank you!

Thanks for playing and for a reply!

Louise pog.

Have someone counted how many times Sumireko said I would rather___than play this___of a game?

Thanks for playing and for a reply!

Right?  I guess I should wait for chess 2 to come out.

Totally underrated.

I think this is a game with great concept, art and music.

The only sad thing I noticed is how you just wait in a doom-like session for enemies to come (idk I just wandered and found a Yukari's gap)

But yep, it was fun. (Firstly I thought the first minigame was the only one <-- clueless)

Great job!

Honestly, I think this is one of very few games that were actually entertaining to me. Lastly I haven't played games much, but, well, what can I say?

The audio is great, especially the sfx, which I adore. Graphics are cute, gameplay cool.

Everything in this game looks so clean and complete, ideal for like, a month.

Thank you for playing and commenting!

I'm a huuge touhou fan so I recommend you to try it!

Especially the music. The music is great. For example strawberry crisis!!

Thanks for playing and commenting!

Yep it was very complex, especially the continue playing mechanic.

(1 edit)

Yep, it's complete.

Really clean platformer. It's short, but sweet. The animated intro looked pretty fun.

When it comes to the game. It was solid and I liked the multi-functionality as it could be a puzzle game and fighting game at the same time. In case you want to continue working on this, I think adding some more powers would be a good idea.

Truly a good job!

Well, this isn't that bad for a first game jam game, I mean, my first game jam games were, pretty bad if I remember correctly.

I think you should be glad that you have so many coworkers, it's really a good thing.

The writing feels a little weird? There were some grammatical errors there and there.

Next time try to look at the idea you have (don't overlook it) so that it will be capable of being done in a month. There's usually some things to be added (or bugs) so please remember about this.

But yeah, good job.
