Well, I finally got around to playing, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it :3 The graphics are absolutely gorgeous, the overall atmosphere is extremely relaxing, almost meditative, and many of the little bios for those who were sent made me smile, especially the last one. I'm definitely intrigued to see what happens with the project in the future! I'm very interested to know what the mentioned consequences might end up being for those who are sent back to the land of the living (because I couldn't help but send a couple of em back, haha.) Also, while I'm not particularly well-studied when it comes to myths, I do tend to enjoy stuff based on that sort of thing, so the theme is also my cup of tea :3
Overall, I think you guys have done a great job, and I'm excited to see what the project eventually becomes!
Beautiful graphics with nice character designs and good music. I do wish I could click something to call in the next person, instead of simply waiting, it would make me feel more in control of things. Gameplay needs to be fleshed out more still. As it stands now, there isn't much consequence for the choices you make nor much of a clear challenge yet.
Coincidentally, I made a Papers, Please inspired game around sending people to heaven, hell or back to life myself in the Mini Jam that ran just two weeks ago, Your Number Is Up, if you should be interested.
Thank you very much for the advice, we will take it into consideration. I will try your game based on Papers, Please.
Wow, Im currently taking a minor in classical study with a focus on greek and roman mythos and just wow, this game is amazing. the art and sound design is wonderful, seeing these characters that Ive been studying and seeing the descriptions hint at their stories was such a cool experience, great work!
You're welcome, thank you, and thanks again! The designer Raquel is a big lover of classical culture, and when creating the scripts, we looked for names, islands, temples, and classical settings... We've made 30 stories! A thousand thanks for your comment ^^
This team should definitely win. What an interesting and beautiful game you have! Super well done, Congrats!
Definitely, you touch our hearts with your words. Thank you very much!
Really well done game!
Thank you!
I'm very suspicious, you must have used some dark magic to make this game in only 7 days.
Amazing! :000000000
Thank you! It's been the result of a team working with all the free time they have. Even so, we have not been able to implement the intended mechanics.
Really enjoyed the presentation, loved the idea too. Definitely looking forward to see what you guys make with this! I do miss a certain lack of feedback and direction, like why should I send someone to heaven or hell. I also feel like the notes should included more context, some were a lot more influential in my decision on whether or not I'd send them to Heaven or Hell. Despite not being able to finish, you put down a really solid foundation that I'm sure once worked on will be incredibly fun
Thank you very much for your opinion, it will help us a lot to build the final game.
Thank you so much for playing!
Lovely art and music. I like the idea, but didn't feel a lot of 'feedback' about whether I had chosen well or not - would like to see the idea more fleshed out. The window resolution on the linux export was a bit wonky, leading to clipped parts of the screen and the 'hotspots' for the buttons being off.
Yes, we couldn't finish all the gameplay, and unfortunately, we couldn't make the actions have the impact we wanted. We have many ideas in this regard, and certainly, we will continue developing the project after the jam. Thank you for your feedback!
the art is amazing, and the music is wonderful, though it would've been nice if the text in the beginning was a bit faster to appear
also a cool suggestions could be like a set of guidelines for who gets to go to heaven or hell, and if you make the wrong decision there's some consequences, it could add a whole new dimension to this game and make it even cooler than it already is!
Thank you very much for playing. We will adjust the speed of the initial text. We plan to implement mechanics so that actions have consequences, but we didn't have time to finish it in one week.
I like it, the art style is amazing, the music sounds good, so overall the graphics are amazing, its pleasing to the eyes!!
The limitation in my view its because he applyed for different jobs but he choose this one, i like it, but i think it could have a higher Importance in the game other than context.
In my opinion the dialog should be faster and maybe less text or better organization of the text cause it makes my eyes hurt.
The game itself its clean, runs well, fits the theme, overall you guys did an amazing job!!!
Thank you very much for playing!! we will try to improve the aspects that you mention.
My team when brainstorming had the same basic concept. Good thing we didnt go through with it or we would have matching games haha. Asides from that the art is amazing in this game. Great color palatte. In the intro I wish you could make the dialogue go faster though. It takes a while. Wanted to listen but skipped it because it took too long. I like the title text introducing the new phases of the game. Very cool font. Also love how you used Charon. Great bit of mythology and reminds me of one of my favorite games Spiritfarer which is a great thing. Also i liked how the characters walked up. Very fluid. One thing that would of been nice would be different noises based on the buttons you pressed.
We definitely would have liked to improve the game with different sounds and mechanics but we didn't have time. Thank you very much for playing.
