Strangley its relaxing to play tihs game even tough the city is burning :D It would be great to play with more types of elements.

Overall solid entry, i will probably play this time to time :D Well done!

Thanks a lot for the feedback, glad you like it! If I come back to this idea, I'll definitely add more cards and random events.

I like seeing games that are both abstract and make me think

Some original unique ideas here, it was great fun! Took me a second to figure out what the goal was but I did a lot better the 2nd try! And the random events are a great addition to keep things interesting and different each playthrough. Well done :D

I really liked the mechanics, and the way you have to control the fire so it doesn't spread

Developer

Thanks, glad you liked it!

I realised early on that I was not powerful enough to stop the fire, but that's completely my fault. Very well thought out game design, it's like some interactive cellular automata with extra rules. Good job!

This game was really fun! I got really lucky on my first run, barely got any events and kept it fairly contained, but on my second run I only seemed able to save the measly amount of tiles on the other side of the river. I love how quickly this game can spiral out of control! I think the game kind of fell down on audio, with a boring background track, and only a few sound effects, but I'm bad at audio too so I can't say much...

A very replayable jam game that deserves way more ratings than it has!

Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it! If I go back to this game idea in future, I'll definitely spend more time on the audio.

Easy to pick up but with a good bit of strategy that you figure out over subsequent runs. The wind mechanic creates tense situations where you gamble on the fire behaving how you want as you deal with stuff elsewhere. Overall a very fun, replayable game that doesn't feel like the result of random game prompts smashed together. My highscore - 40825

Really enjoy the concept! The random events led to me panicking and everything being on fire quite a bit which is always fun! Challenging and fun to replay!

Glad you enjoyed it!

Great game, once you think you have everything under control one of the events can change everything and it gets out of hand, the map in the background helped with the time setting as well as the selected music.
