I'm surprised this one hasn't gotten more traffic! This game was terrific! I really enjoyed this style of game! The two phases both felt competent, and the diegetic UI was absolutely superb! The tutorial was very well articulated and let me jump into the game easily.
The towers did seem to have a very short range though, and I only ever saw them attack at point blank. The game is is a good length, but it seems as though the maximum upgrades for your personal mech are out of reach even if you only focus on them.
Great submission, this game felt like it could be a stand alone game with just a bit more time put into it!
Thank you! The main pillar since the beginning was the two distinc phases, good to know that you like it! The diegetic UI is something that we also love to see in games and want to try ourselves.
We have plans to adjust the upgrades costs, towers/enemies and overhaul difficulty.
Unlike most games which I’ve been saying are too hard, this one was actually too easy. Enemies did not take a lot of shots to kill with my big gun, and even better, seemed to die instantly once they were within one or two squares of my tower mechs. A little more differentiation and depth to the enemies & allies would go a long way.
Thank you for your feedback! We felt the same about the challenge, looking into some tweaks to the general difficulty/progression, couldn't make it in time for the jam.
I totally understand!
I forgot to mention I really liked the chunky aesthetics of the cockpit and how the UI was integrated into panels that came in and out. Hitbox detection seemed a little finicky with the panel UI, I kept closing panels when I meant to hit the buttons, so maybe making the buttons bigger would help.
This was so cool - I loved how you blended tower defence with a FPS! Really enjoyed it!
We are glad that you have a good time playing it! Thank you!
