Fun game! I'm horrible at platformers so I got stuck at the moving platform part. But cool visuals and music! I really like the atmosphere and the world you put together. I will second the darkness criticism, it was a bit hard to tell what was background stuff and what was an interactable object. But good job overall!

Good platformer with very cool animation work.

I like the setting and player mech look, the animations for sprinting aiming and ledgegrabbing are also pretty good. Music is also nice and fits the "world in ruins" tone well ^^

Main issue i had is the visibility. Everything is way too dark in the levels, it borders on pitch black at times, this caused me a lot of trouble most notably for how to use the grappling, cause i didn't even noticed that there was a hook in the room, the grappling itself while working fine could also have a bit more explaination in the tutorial cause i feel you can't guess the mechanics in that case :/

With that said still the game has qualities, and the atmosphere is pretty good.

Well done :)

Good game, really liked the visuals. I also liked that the emergency exit signs reacted physically when I bumped my head on them.

I got stuck at the burning trees, the slingshot grapple thing felt a bit too random when trying to get past them.

i couldn't figure out how to grapple so i didn't really get anywhere, but the music and sound is absolutely amazing and the character and environment looked hella dope. movement was also super smooth. kudos to your team!! :D

please tell me how to grapple, i want to try again :)

Developer

Thx!!! ;D
and basically, you have to hold Right-Click (to aim) and then try to aim at the hook so it turns "blue"!!
(Extra Points if you jump-forward, aim, and then...)
You simply Left-Click (shoot) whilst the crosshair is blue!

While we've seen a handful of side scrollers in the jam I don't think I've seen any 3D ones yet and certainly none that looked as nice as this one.  Ya'll did very nice with the look and sound of the game.

I really liked the grappling mechanic unfortunately the grappling hook's wire kept messing up when by those burnt trees and I couldn't progress. I really liked the Anubis looking mech too!

Is there a way to change the resolution? The menu doesn’t seem to respond to clicking and the game is huge

Developer

Ah well, to access the Options you either just jump the "Options"-Button (its to the right with all the other buttons once you start)
ORRR you can press "O" to access the Options-Menu....
There you simply use the dropdown for all the resulutions,
and if it bugs out simply close the Menu with Esc/Rightclick and re-open it.
Hope this helps!
