The gameplay is quite fun and the graphics are pleasant to look at, good job!
Though I do feel that the camera changes angle a bit frequently, so it's rather hard to orient myself

I think there is a heap of potential here, the shots and they way they hit the ground and zapped was very satisfying, as well as how you dodge flying enemies and lock on and shoot missiles. I felt like this would have been amazing on rails, even with the low poly basic scene. I know you have gone for getting lots of area and the jam was short, but when I was up high I could see a lot of geometry that just didn't make sense. had I been controlled in my view and only saw it from a certain angle it would have been great and I wouldn't have even minded the low poly aesthetics. The way you move around the enemies, lock on with missiles would also work super well on rails, it felt nice to play. Oh yeah and of course you want to fix that lighting! Still a really good and enjoyable solo effort, great work!
Thank you so much! And I agree with your statement about the level design, I had an idea about it being more fine tuned with actual buildings that would create a coherent city, but I misjudged how long it would take! I will try to make an improved version in the coming weeks that better isolate my original vision. Your feedback is gold and I would really appreciate if you would want to try the next version!
Great work with this one! Firing the homing missiles and beam weapon felt really satisfying.
It would be great to see ths fleshed out with more sound effects and feedback like screenshake. I had fun with this though.
Thanks for playing! And you are definitely right, there are a lot of details that need some more attention. I have not tackled sceneries and level design like the ones typical found in rail shooters before, so it took more time than I would like to admit to build the first level... but I learned a lot!
Seems a bit unfinished? With the lack of ambient sounds and music, unbuilt lighting message, being able to fly through the environment, placeholder assets? etc. The camera angles and movement is cool but can be a bit jarring, especially when it turns sharply almost imediately after an enemy group appears. Shooting and locking on feels nice and the mecha spaceship is cool. The VFX is also pretty cool, like the missile trails, particle effects etc.
Neat project, and it'd be cool to see this fleshed out more.
You are definitely right! I over scoped the game and some issues arose that made me unable to work on it for the full 2 weeks. Not an excuse of course but life happens! You provided really good feedback and will be sure to incorporate all of it in my next version. Hope you get a change to play it and give me your thoughts!
Really nice clean implementation! Some bugs and things you're probably already aware of - you can fly through buildings, and the camera cuts can be a bit jarring when you take the hard hairpin turns. I also managed to get the shooting audio stuck after finishing the level until it returned to the menu. But the core gameplay loop works really nicely - weapon balance all works nicely and the special attack is dope!
