Wow that's a mighty impressive solo effort for only two weeks! I really liked the movement and animations, the blur made it really hard for me to see. Changing to the gun after the electro pulse felt good, and everything was smooth on my older PC setup. I liked the effects, the sounds was done well and the narrative was good. It was on the edge of being too long for me but Ill forgive you as it was interesting and the amount you got done, plus the level of polish (even with assets) is amazing! One of the top solo efforts I've played so far.

Many many thanks! I am so glad you enjoyed it!

Yep I think the blur could definitely do with being toned down or removed. I originally had more screen based feedback effects planned but didn't have time to implement them. It seems like that was a good thing or it might have been even more tricky to see.

I am so glad you enjoyed the narrative too. I'd wished I had had time to use voice actors though as well.

You know I actually added the pylon area before the boss because I was worried the game was too short hehe.

Anyhow thankyou so so much once again!

Very impressive entry! I really like how you worked characters and dialogue into it too, since that's something you don't often see for jam entries. Game mechanics all worked pretty well, and the assets used fit a cohesive theme quite well. I appreciate having some enemy variety too. I did find the camera angles to be a bit strange, as sometimes my mech took up nearly the whole screen, and I also didn't really like the focal blur effect, as it made things somewhat disorienting, I think it would work better to just have everything in focus. I made it nearly all the way through, though I did die on the boss  at the end. Overall, great job, I had fun with this!

Thankyou so so much for checking it out! I am so glad you enjoyed it!

Yep I definitely agree about camera angles, I especially think the position that the camera switched to while aiming definitely needs some adjustment.

I think I kept the challenge relatively light leading up to the boss because of the dialogue, but I reckon I should probably work on the balance a bit more too because there is a bit of a difficulty spike.

Thanks so so much once again!

Yep, there is a cursor. But the game is great in spite of it! Really cool!

Developer(+1)

Thankyou so much. I am so glad you enjoyed it!

I definitely plan to fix the cursor thing afterwards though still :D.

Impressive work for a solo project, had fun playing through this. Just FYI for me the mouse Cursor was visible during gameplay which made aiming a bit hard, maybe you can fix it before the jam deadline :D

Developer(+1)

Oh noooo! I thought I had fixed the cursor thing. Just my luck, I had to do another fix yesterday for something else and I must have brought the cursor back somehow. Kicking myself.

Unfortunately I am away from home now so I won't be able to resubmit before the deadline. Maybe I'll see if I am allowed to sort it as a minor fix later. I guess it's in the hands of the Mecha gods now.

Many many thanks for checking it out though FlobbaDob. So so glad you had some fun with it! And thanks so much for the feedback too.

Don't worry too much it was still a fun experience :) I don't know if it only popped up after I hit Esc and there was no pause menu, had that in another game I tried

Developer

Many many thanks once again though.

So glad you had some fun with it :D
