I'm surprised i could run this in the pcsx2, had no technical issues. Well done!

Combat is simple but feels good to connect those punches with the mecha enemies, i just noticed that the attrack animation  sometimes gets stuck and you can't move until you press the punch button again to cancel the animation. If that's intended there should be an indicator to let you know you need to cancel that action.

I'm not sure but i think i collected all the cubes? I backtracked and came back to the pit area to look for something i missed but never found something else so i guess that was it.

Overall, it really gives the nostalgia of early ps2 games and can't wait to see what you guys do with the engine.

Developer

thank you, one of the cubes is at the beginning of the level right behind the player
you may have missed that

and no the animation lock is a bug, didn't have much time to fix it in the first release, and the second release was just dealing with engine memory leaks, it's awesome to know you liked the game

Bro, you are a legend, to aim for a PS2 game in a jam is truly a chad move 🫡

The gameplay was pleasant, the graphics look clean too knowing the limitations of the platform, and your game is literally 4mb I am in love!😳

great work!

Developer

this comment made my day thank you XD,
i was trying to build it a bit more complex but some problems prevented it

I am surprised to have a ps2 game for the jam

it was pretty well done congratulations

(played on switch ps2 emulator and crashed but crash with everything)

Developer

thank you, the engine used has only been in development for 3 month so it's pretty crude still but i didn't expect it to crash that bad XD

Still super impressive you put together a PS2 game for the jam. I really liked the artwork in the cubes.

Developer

thank you, i'm trying to fix some memory leaks right now and maybe actually finish the game

Very interesting PS2 experimental game. Little annoying to have to play on a PS2 emulator but it brings back nostalgia. Game really needs to allow camera rotation. I liked the model for the Mechs. I hope you continue working on the project and improve it.

Developer

thank you, i'm fixing a bunch of memory leaks as we speak, and the game does have camera rotation, so i don't quite understand that part of the comment, do you mean faster rotation ?
