Ok I am seeing all these great reviews? I thought this was gonna be great by the feel and look but I can't adjust my view angle with keyboard/mouse or controller.. All the other controls were working fine, but the view...meaning I can adjust the axis/direction I was facing..... The mouse worked "a little" but I couldn't point myself in the direction I wanted to move? Did others have this issue? I can't rate this properly until I understand how to angle my viewport..... ok after reading further I found that the mouse sensitivity was defaulted to basically zero...when I adjusted I was able to play... this game is pretty well put together... I would like an option to invert they Y though also....

This one takes the crown for me. Movement is so satisfying and the grabbing mechanic is very straightforward and easy to use! I also adore the whole PSX-esque look, especially the dithering shader you used (did you write it yourself?).

The only complaint I have is about combat. I think you made the right decision by focusing on polishing the movement system more instead of combat, however enemies were very easy to kite by just running around them in circles. I literally completed the whole game without ever taking any damage from enemies and just spent all my gems on speed powerups. Also, sometimes the skeletons’ AI would bug out, making them just stand there looking at me. That’s okay though, ‘cause movement and exploration made up for it and I know time just wasn’t enough to polish things more.

I think you could actually have a good chance to win, if only you could get more ratings. I don’t know what it is about retro-looking 3D games this time around, they all seem to be getting criminally ignored for some reason (I’m in the same boat). I hope you do actually get to win though!

PS: Your build worked flawlessly on Linux under Wine!

Hey Thanks for playing! I followed a tutorial to get the dithering lol it was pretty simple. Yeah and the combat was very bland simply because its not interesting and the lack of enemy types. I ran out of time to put more work into it also.  Im glad it also worked on linux tho!

How does this only have 2 ratings so far? This is great! PS1-style graphics, a great wall-hang mechanic, and clever level design. If I have to nitpick, the combat is very vanilla, but the movement mechanics are so good that I don't care

Hey Thanks for playing! I honestly wish I added more to the combat, I was even hoping to add a final boss, but sadly I ran out of time.

I encountered a bug while playing. When I started the actual game, the sound and mouse senstivity settings were set to 0.

It was not clear to me how I would defend myself against the bugs. I just died. On my third attempt, I figured out to press 1 to get my weapon.

I like the retro filter you are using for the visuals and I like the idea of what you are trying to achieve. I am just not good enough to beat your game.

Hey thanks for playing! I wish I spent more time on the tutorial, unfortunately it was scrapped together towards the end.

that what happens during jams.

People also didn't figure out that the attack is four directional in my game :D

i really love the clinging to walls mechanic here. it's really simple but it works well and it's consistent. the combat had that king's field sort of circle around the enemy and hit them thing going on which also worked well, it lets the enemies be tanky without being obnoxious. the visuals were nice too. i ended up getting stuck on a random floor, i wasn't able to jump off of it or move and i didn't see a kill button or unstick anywhere. either way very cool stuff! glad i wasn't the only one to try something in 3d lol

Hey thanks for playing! Yeah I was going for the kings field feel, unfortunately there were some bugs that caused players to get stuck in some collision boxes. I didnt have time to add reset button during the grace period because of finals lol.
