Love it! Possibly my favourite jam entry.

Fun to explore. Looking out for the tiles you can pass through is fun and just subtle enough. Lots of powerups. The abilities are all really clever and a good fit for the game. The minimal jetpack gauge is great. The mini-challenges all make good use of your abilities. The level teaches you slowly about how to use the abilities before you need them for something really challenging. The way the boss combines use of bouncing bullets with the jetpack for a kind of bullet hell experience was really satisfying.

And I thought the way the small amount of text appears in the corner to tell a bit of a story was really classy and injected a lot of character.

The only points of criticism I have are that the music can get repetitive, and the platforming around spikes can sometimes feel a bit sloppy (maybe because of their collision size, or maybe because the jumping/hovering is not quite precise enough for some of the challenges).

Great job!

Wow I'm impressed! You did so well even with your 1-bit limitation! I particularly liked the variety of enemies and the bouncing bullets upgrade. Also that ending cutscene reminds me a lot of Super Metroid :) Very well done!

(I post my comment here too)
I really enjoyed your game! The best part was the level design, there was good ideas and we see that you clearly understand what is a metroidvania LD, good job for that! If I would have something to say, is that the character is really slow and sometimes, it's frustrating. But it's a good game, and the sound design is just on point! GJ!

Nice little game, with a simple premise and a simple goal. This entry was well polished and is a good 15-20 minute adventure into the saliens ship with plenty of health upgrades to find.  Would play another game like that in the future.

Also I cheesed the boss by going behind it's barrier when entering the battle. Gotta do something about the safespot there.

This is a cool game. I was amazed by the functionality of it and how polished it was. I had fun playing

fun, simple and polished, really liked it

finding the hp upgrades is quite satisfying, really justifies traveling around
the overall difficulty is on point to
some nitpicks:
the music loops a bit much maybe something longer?
not much story
checkpoint could reset your hp to since you just respawn but maybe thats a good thing because it creates more urgency to be low on hp rather then continuously refilling
