Nice art and music. The problems that I see are related to gameplay. First, the panda's movement isn't "sharp" enough. Only pulling a little bit on the joystick gave too much velocity to the player, so it was pretty difficult to land. It has already been mentionned, but wide spaces and a bad camera follow results in to many blind jumps and makes the game less enjoyable. Apart from that, I liked the game, nice work!

wall jumping felt good

liked the power ups in general

too many blind jumps

the camera doesn't keep up, creating more blind jumps

which then have me land on spikes and end up being sent back

i think being able to look around with the mouse would have been a quick fix for this

Developer

yeah the camera needs work. There was only really one intended blind jump near the beginning partially meant to if you happen to hit spikes cause of it to teach what will happen if you hit spikes. Course easy to not notice blind jumps when you're the one that designed the level. Thanks for the feedback.

Awesome! I think the drop down spiders and the acid spits should be a little more noticeable, on a large resolution they are a little hard to make out. I loved the plastic bag mechanic and the animations were pretty smooth as well.

Cute game! There was a lot of creativity behind the upgrades and the little collectable trash pandas were neat. The camera can be a bit slow when following the player, but other than that it was a neat game. Would love to see more in the future

I really enjoyed the animation of the little Trash panda! It was  nice to play it, tho, if you manage to continue it, maybe avoid leap of faith xD Because it can be really frustrating hahaha! But good job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah those leaps of faith really keep you on your toes.. 😂

Really love the trash panda concept! Didn't expect the knife at all when I started :D.

Overall a really nice prototype and I hope that you keep growing your game!

Developer

Thank you!

I liked the concept and the environment feels on point,  at some points i feel that the character control is a bit clunky and unresponsive, but i had fun playing it. It feels hard but fair, like every time you get hit is your fault.

Developer

Thanks for your input and thanks so much for playing. Glad you enjoyed our game.

I love the idea and theming for this game, especially the boss battle. A trench coat full of rats is a great creepy boss idea, and the animation was great too. The blinking red eyes in the darkness was a nice touch.

I liked that there was optional backtracking to get powerups. However, the overall experience was very linear, it didn't feel like an interconnected world. I think if there were more "loops" in the navigation, where you could end up somewhere you had been before but with more abilities this time, it would be more interesting to explore.

I found that I didn't use the knife hardly at all, except for the boss battle. It was very hard to tell when I was close enough to hit something, and the range was so small I was very likely to bump into the thing I was trying to hit, so it was always easier to just avoid the enemies altogether. I think if the range was larger or more clearly indicated, it would have been more interesting to use.

I enjoyed all the movement upgrades, jumping and gliding was very satisfying. I wished there was some indication of how many wall jumps I had left, or even simply no limit. I thought it was just glitching out and not working sometimes, until I got the first powerup that said it increased my wall jump capacity and realized what was happening. Overall though, a great set of mechanics. I especially liked the section where you floated through the room of steam pipes, riding the warm air and dodging the projectiles.

Thank you for sharing this game, I enjoyed it.

Thanks for playing! Definetly some notes to take from this once we get it out of the prototype phase. :)
