Very liked the character's movement, it's fast and responsive. I encountered a bug tho: when using the blast attack on melee enemies and getting damage, you get stuck and can't move anymore. Enjoyed myself running around, but it would have been great to have a map. Good game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you like the character controller, and yeah there are some pesky bugs on build lol

Super fun to run around, very pretty, would get softlocked again.

I was really impressed by your game! Here are my feedback on it:

+ I like a lot the universe of Super Sentai, so it aimed directly to my heart!

+ The movement controls felt really right, indeed, the character was very responsive.

+/- The new power retrieved on the blue comrade was nice, but it was a bit too overpowerful, I passed every level almost in one instant with it.

- Collision issues sometimes while jump up or fall down, the character was stuck in the platform

- I had difficulty to hit an opponent, it was too imprecise, indeed, I had to get very close to an opponent in order to hit him well, so I rather dodged all the fights.

Overall: Very good job

Thanks for the great feedback! Basically the whole game came to be because of the super sentai motif, and it paid off. Glad you liked the control, i spent maybe too much time trying to get the character to move just right. The power up  and the collisions have some issues that i couldn't fix before submission . Thanks for playing!

Love the reference to sentai, the kamehameha is satisfying! And also, being able to fly was sooooo great! Love it!

Power rangers has been one of my favorite franchises of all time, and when i found out that they were based on a Japanese series i was in love, so i really loved the experience of designing and creating a team with its own world and mission. thank you for playing our game <3

P.S. Flying is my favorite feature <3

What an cool idea. Nice game mechanics and controlls!

Developer

Thanks! I tried to make the controller as fun as possible, glad you liked it!

Movement and combat feels great, but with the lack of a map I was struggling to orient myself. Also, I would suggest that you make enemies damage the player as well as their projectiles, because it is quite easy at the moment to just run past them. I'm interested to see where you take this!

Thanks, character controller was a big concern. For the map bit, we were conflicted, both time concern and design wise. I wanted to make it feel like NES Metroid, evoke that same feeling of both an invitation to exploration and dread of not knowing where you are, but maybe the later was the prominent one.  The enemies on the other hand were an oversight, and we all agreed that was a good idea but couldn't completed before build lol. Thanks for the feed back!

I love how fast the movement is. I could jump around with ease.

Developer(+1)

Thanks, I wanted to go for that power rangers-ish acrobatics
