A really nice entry. I loved the visuals and the music is very fitting too.

Visually, I especially loved how you're leaning into really dark shadows, giving the scene a high amount of contrast and making everything look very dynamic :D

I think attacking could feel a bit better. Your movement stops completely when attacking. Maybe you could try maintaining some of the movement instead and have the player bounce backwards a bit when he hits something (just a suggestion). Hitting up and down depending on where you press could also be a nice mechanic for this game.

But despite me nitpicking it's a really great entry. Keep going!

I like the artwork of the game, it would be nice if you could save your coin for later. The fighting  seem a little too easy also the monster duplicate when you leave their areas they can also leave the areas making it impossible to see were they are.

This entry is extremely impressive! I played with a gamepad and it felt good to play. It was one of the few entries that I wanted to keep playing. I can't really say more than what everyone else has already said; it's really good.

I will however state my two gripes:

1) The hitbox on those flying ghosts is way too big. I can't tell you how many times I got hit despite killing them.

2) Having enemies respawn when you reenter an area is fine from a gameplay standpoint, but the fact that they stay spawned in when you exit an area means they can ambush you from offscreen if you're near the edge of an area. Also it gives rise to a bug in which quickly going back and forth between areas causes a LOT of enemies to spawn in and stack on top of each other.

The artwork, audio and level design are stunning, and the option to select a language is a significant advantage given the game's dialogues. While I found the game enjoyable, the control scheme is less than ideal, using the arrow keys to walk and the "W" key to jump was not the best design choice. Great work!
