Really liked your game even tho it wasn't a metroidvania. I have no issue with the AI art at the start even tho everyone else apparently does. It gave me an Office Space (1999 Mike Judge film) vibe. Thought the prologue was really well done. I would like to see this project at least prototype the metroidvania aspect. Think a metroidvania set in an office or the corporate world would set it apart from the rest, especially if it has humour to it like the prologue. Maybe do that for the next MVM super edition..?

I'm highly considering continuing work on this project, so maybe that will be a good option! Thanks for the input:)

Hi, I liked the intro graphics, it's look like it's anime!!! looked like a lot of work though ^_^

Developer

Thanks, but the intro was AI generated! Everything else was done by hand though :)

Hey, awesome prologue!

The way you presented the story was really interesting and funny. I swear by the end of the prologue I was so ready to punch that blonde guy right in the face. I was also waiting for my lunch to heat up while playing this, so I too was Hangry aha.

I loved this game! It's really polished in many ways. The artstyle is very nice, and I love the attention to detail and the way you managed to highlight depth when you play with the printing machine. The mini-games are quite funny.

Overall a great prologue! As you mentioned already though it is not really a metroidvania, so I scored it lower there. I'm personally interested in what the rest of the game would look like. Keep up the great work!

I appreciate the compliment!

Hey there, I got around to playing your game too.

I literally had a grin on my face the whole time through. The art was nicely done and I really enjoyed the parts where you added a bit of depth to the scene. The humor and minigames also worked really well.

I would definitely play more of it! Could be a really nice opportunity to tell some relatable office stories :)

Great entry!

Wonderfull work in this game! The artwork is very good and also the audio. The minigames are funny and the controls are good. In general i enjoyed the game and played until the end, waiting for continuation! But i dont see much metroidvania features.

Thank you for the kind words it means a lot!

Yea unfortunately I planned poorly and spent all my time on the prologue of the game. After the end of the prototype, it was supposed to set up what becomes a metroidvania about escaping the office. In retrospect I should've skipped the prologue for the purpose of this jam and started the game where the metroidvania elements actually come into play. I still wanted to submit it though because I put a lot of effort into it.
