Beautifully made, one of the most unique games in the jam for me.

Must have been real hard coding this style man. The presentation is top notch for me, deserves a 5 star, the art is visually pleasing and unique out of all the games.

One of the games which I didn't find anything extremely lacking, everything was implemented properly. Shows how finished the game is and polished.

Great job! An awesome submission to the jam, looking forward seeing you in the top 10! Good luck!

Thank you so much for this elaborate comment, thank you for taking the time! That means a lot to me. I tried to deliver a finished product, so I am happy that you perceive it as such.

I love the idea and the artstyle of the game.

Developer

thank you so much! I would have liked it to look more "Victorian", but i ended up pixeling more of a "castle" look

good atmosphere. I liked trick with drawings, game looks fully completed.

Developer

Thank you! Yes, I've tried to polish it as much as possible in that timeframe. Should've slept, but this was more fun

Really awesome! I got sucked into finding as many as I could, I did get lost a bunch tho.

Developer

That's exactly what I had hoped for, thanks for playing! My gf saved me(and you) from making the layout even more confusing ^^ I love getting lost in games(as long as there is stuff to discover there)

Fantastic game (with a great name), controls were a bit funky when it came to dialog and I wandered around for a good while before making any headway. Other than that, great consistent mechanics, good music and sounds, and fun mechanics all around!

Developer

Thank you so much! And thanks for the feedback! Could you specify what felt "funky"? I'd like to improve. Is it the timing? The button? The sound?

Submitted

Ah, yeah, when moving through the dialog the open inventory button (“c”) was what was used whenever I needed to skip thru, especially when I had already spoken to the ghost. But being that I can’t count I’d often open the inventory the second dialog ended. So mostly a skill issue in my part. I also found that z was mapped to c, which caught me off guard a couple times. So again, mostly a skill issue.

Developer (1 edit)

Not a skill issue, maybe I should have incorporated a little timer. Pico8's philosophy only allows for two buttons, which sometimes results in behavior like this one.  Thank you for your feedback!
