Software used
Godot, Asesprite, Audacity. The usual suspects.

Use of the limitation
For Chaos, I wanted everything to hectic. So, your gun shoots random directions, and when it overloads, it goes into full chaos in overload mode.

Cookies eaten
No cookies, but I did have a piece of my kids Birthday Cake.

The overload was awesome, I think it's the best I saw from the entries. I had some issues with the start menu where I wanted to click on the menu but I needed to use the spacebar and the control wasn't displayed. So I was a bit confused.

It would've been cool to have more and more ennemies and maybe with lesser life pool.

Finally I liked the atmosphere and the postfx you used. The comics style hit effects were interesting too.

Really rad, the effects are awesome though a little intensive. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the random direction mechanic but when you overload that feels amazing. Great stuff

Holey moley did you code this game on a super computer from NASA? Awesome feeling and effects, but lagged the crap out of my computer (the overload almost tore a hole into my browser). Also when I restarted I started glitched out in a wall (but I just reloaded the page so its fine). With a bit more polish (and maybe optimization) this could be a phenomenal game :D

I liked the game. It was a little bit too dark for my eyes but I improvised so no problem.

I had some sliders I was hoping to implement, never happened. One was for brightness. Only ended up getting Volume done. Thank you for giving it a shot though!

great game! like the shooting, but then thing was I was kind of bored of just walking around looking for enemies, but over all good game.

Developer

Thank you, yeah. I was planning to implement a story. Like I realized my upload still has my dialog debug turned on. So if you press f1 the dialog will pop up. I just never got it done. Thank you for trying it out though!

oh ok, well you're welcome

The menu looked great but the art for the game itself could use some work. I had trouble hitting anything though because the bullets were kind of hard to control. The sound design was nice!

Thank you for playing. I wanted it to be hard to shoot. The chaos part. Not saying it was a great feature, but it was a conscious decision. Thank you for giving it a try!

I really liked the sprint/speed effect & the overload mechanic was pretty cool.

If I had to say anything I would say it was fairly easy to get lost on the map, maybe some pointers or even some audio on the enemies that would get louder as you approach would really add to the game.

But great effort!

Thank you for playing. I had stretch goals if I had time to add a minimap. I got part of it done. But the time just ticks by so fast when you are in the weeds! lol

Yeah I feel your pain it's hard to get it all done in such a short amount of time & the core mechanics have to come first.
