Good tutorial :D.
This is really solid, I like the art a lot, not what I expected so a bit more interesting. The sounds get a little grating after a while, like sfxr sounds often can do but still fit well.
Thanks I'm glad you liked it :) For your feedback that's true I wanted to add some variations to the shots but I totally forgot :) Thanks! I'm curious tho, what did you expect ?
Hey, i really liked your game and the shooting sound is really cool :D Nice work !!
Thank you very much :)
Nice game, it got me some good space invaders vibes! The art style is really interesting I have to say, the music fits and blends well, the shooting sound is a bit heavy on the high frequencies (and heavy on the ears) I think you might want to EQ it to muffle them a bit. Nevertheless, good job :D
I've got that old game in my head I played when I was a kid. It's called "paratrooper (dos)" for the inspiration :)
Thanks for the sounds comment. I don't know very much that domain so it'll help me for sure!
Awesome game! It's like these browser space shooters, very fun.
And personally, I really like a music at the background, it's very nice
And a great thanks for your comment!
Nice, classic. Drone music is distressing, which is good if that's what you're going for. Mountain are a neat simple asset. Effects are great.
I'm glad you liked, any points you would've seen to improve it?
Yes! Get rid of the way enemies slow drift to the bottom after being killed. They're confusing and they're not adding anything. I think it needs to be clearer which things are threats to my little cannon and which things aren't.
I agree
Great job, within no time the screen was flooded with enemies. I think having your fires do more damage would be helpful because at a certain point I couldn't do much about the enemies. Would add to the overall enjoyment but still good job. Liked with the art, animations and sound design too!
Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it. What I had in mind is you need to prior some ship to crash to help you some seconds later or at the opposite shoot the energy reactor to make a hard strike with the big slow ships for example. Guaranteed sky cleanup in perspective ;) Just beware of the small and fast ones!
It’s fun and well presented. I wish I could move at least horizontally. Also, It could be nice to be able to concatenate blasts when aliens are next to each other.
That's an interesting comment, I wouldn't have think of a zone impact. That's a good idea!
I love a good turret defense style game and blasting the aliens out of the sky was really satisfying! Also felt it fit the theme nicely!
So glad you liked :) thanks!
Fit the limitation really well, the idea of the explosions damaging the enemies was good. Although I felt like i needed to jam the gun to get the most shots off, when waiting for it to cool down not being jammed it was taking a while.
Yup that's a good point, it wasn't so easy to balance, I should probably boost the increase a bit. Thanks for the feedback :)
Fun little game! I like the visuals, & the fact you can't shoot the gun as much as you want definitely forces you to think about how you use it much more carefully. Some music would be nice, even if only taken off the internet would help with the ambience the game has, & would help hammer home the "everything is chaos" limitation. Overall, good game!
Thanks for your feedback :) I'm confused as their is in fact some music ? Could you develop your point of view a bit more ?
Fun little turret shooter, and definitely fits the chaos theme! The enemy designs looked great, and were clear and distinct, which really helped me prioritise the more dangerous targets. I enjoyed the difference in behaviour for each one too, there was a nice variety to them that added to the challenge
Music/sound effects were ominous and fit the theme of the game nicely, with a strong sci-fi feeling.
Is there a way to make the larger ships vulnerable again once they start descending towards you?
Thanks for your comment, I put some efforts on the colors code to help the readability, so I'm glad it worked!
I wanted to make the ships falls (it missed some explosion effects) to add a strategic aspect where you can shoot down some ship to help you a few seconds later and not blocking your shots putting you with lesser control. I suppose that a solution could be to add another special shoot with you could swap.
Very simple but a well execution.
Thanks!
I like it! It fits the theme well, and is fun!
I'm glad you liked :)
fun game and a great use of the limitation. having each enemy have a different death attack was also really cool
Thanks for your feedback!
Really fun and enjoyable, great artstyle and wonderful effects, I'm a hugefan of the overheat meter to prevent spamming, nice job.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked :) I actually enjoyed to create the inverted slider when you got jammed ^^
I enjoyed the game and the art style is good. I would prefer the game to be a bit more difficult just to add a little more to the chaos.
Totally fair, I lately planned some ennemies with missiles could have added a bit more depth. But time was ticking :) Thx for the feedback!
Love the art in this game, the glowing effect looks good as well. From a gameplay perspective it was actually better to let the gun jam as the bar revived quicker when jammed then when conserving bullets. Just something to bare in mind if you go back to balance the game.
Great effort!
Thx mate :) That's a good remark, well I started with the idea that the jammed thing shouldn't be too punitive because it can make you miss the few critical moments where some bombs appear just above at that time. Then I forgot it a bit I confess :) but I'll ponder it and it helps me grow, thanks for that!
