Very much enjoyed that! That monster is very spooky looking... Maybe adding a distance meter & personal high score so you can track how far you've gotten as well? I think that would make the feel of upgrading more rewarding!

Genuinely enjoyed this and couldn't stop playing. Having to walk backwards towards the demon was nerve wracking. Getting to buy stuff from the shop after dying felt like a great consolation prize that made me want to keep playing

For anyone wondering, There is a new update! This fixes many of the balance issues and also adds support for multiple resolutions. If you are interested in what the game could have been had I had a little more time, please check out the update!

It looks more like it was made in Scratch cos of how the collisions work, but overall it's great! It needs some balance cos I just got 400 sanity in the third run and just because I knew it was enough I died on purpose. It becomes too easy with everything level 2 and it's too easy to get. But then, every replay feels much more different from the other that way
