Well that'll show me for playing the original jam version, apologies haha! (if the option is there I always pick the original, for the sake of authenticity)

I loved the art style and colour scheme for this game and the atmosphere was awesome! Interesting concept, enjoyed it a lot :)

Very much enjoyed that! That monster is very spooky looking... Maybe adding a distance meter & personal high score so you can track how far you've gotten as well? I think that would make the feel of upgrading more rewarding!

Simple concept but still pretty entertaining! Got to level 10, those pesky bigger enemies can be quite some trouble to deal with. Controls and gameplay feel very smooth, overall feel is great!

Didn't make this in Unity so no Line Renderer here, it's just a little bezier curve class which generates a list of points and I'm drawing quads between each point to emulate a line. Works well enough it seems!

Really enjoyed playing this, a good chunk of level design for 3 days too! Managed to get all the gems (at least, minus the ending haha). If you plan to continue working on this, my only suggestion would be to make the edges of the platforms a little clearer (or adding some coyote time) as I kept falling off, but maybe I'm just bad. Combat was super satisfying, thanks to the gore probably, definitely agree with glas' comment about making the choice of enemies adorably cute to make the game even more twisted... awesome all around!

Thank you so much! Definitely a full rope physics system and not just a bezier curve haha

Agreed, adding instructions/tutorials during actual gameplay would've been preferable, sadly by the time we'd reached a point where the rest of the gameplay loop was completed we didn't have much time to get everything else done. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah it is pretty difficult haha, takes some strategising to make it far in. Thanks for playing!

Really fun watching a huge wave of people trailing you like that, once I figured out exactly what I was doing the game was super fun to play!

Music was very peaceful, really contrasting the uhhhhhhh... rather violent treasure seekers haha. Art was lovely, fun game!

Will definitely play this again when I can actually figure out what to do haha, scrolling through the instructions gave me a heart attack! Art is fantastic, would love to give this a proper go if it gets updated :)

I mean who doesn't want to cruise down the nile in a speedboat... right? Fun game, big rocks and big crocs haha

Pretty fun, enjoyed giving it a go and shooting all the pots lol. I went down the AK route and thought it would shoot a bit faster haha.

Holy heck that's a fair few team members 0_0
It shows! Game was great, may or may not have gotten a little annoyed at the start when I died and got sent back to the beginning haha, pretty fun overall though!

Love how many different ways you used the limitation there! Nice job :)

Very fun puzzler! Managed to get all the gems, neat challenges!

Rootin tootin shooting... wrong era from me there lol. 360 crop farming, even after i'd about finished playing the game properly i was still having fun messing about with it haha

Cool idea! Needs some work but it could be something if developed fully!

Think I about gave up on the huge spike areas haha, but even still a pretty cool idea that looks great!

Love this little idle game, very interesting! Nothing like a little flood to water your crops...

Hey everyone!

As part of a 72-hour game jam (Mini Jam 61), me and two friends worked together to create this short but marginally hectic action-strategy game where you have to breed animals, grow food and kill boss monsters in order to earn money and pay rent.

For the amount of time we had to make it, we're super proud of what we managed to create. The game is free, so if you're looking for a quick bit of  fun, feel free to give it a try! (we think surviving for 20 minutes is a pretty good achievement)

Woah, thats a big comment! Much appreciated! Absolutely, lots of little issues like that which we didnt end up fixing. Enemy hitboxes are at the bottom of the sprite (to  create the idea of them standing), but yeah I can see that being awkward. It being our first jam we planned everything all wrong and didnt get to do much testing at all. The worlds used to be about 3 times as large. 3 TIMES BIGGER! Thankfully we toned it down but even then it was still too large, guess that goes to show. Sorry it took so long to beat, sounds like you had some awful luck (we regret making the worlds randomly generated now) but glad you managed to finish it!

Thank you for going into so much detail, it means a lot! Hopefully we can improve for our next jam!

I play video games to get away from writing essays lmao

Fun to play, nice little visual novel!
